Advantages: Most exciting and enjoyable thing in the world Disadvantages: PAIN
I have been skateboarding for just over 5 years now and ever since i stepped foot on a skateboard I have been HOOKED. Pretty much all I think about and do is skate, once you get into it their is no getting it out of your system, its an addiction and you constantly need your fix. I love it so much I have 'skate or die' tattoed on my lower back, you may think thats a bit silly, but I love it!!. I have been fortunate enough to be sponsored by a few ......makes skateboarding a lot easier for me to enjoy as I dont have to buy equpiment and I get to go on trips and appear in magazines and on TV. There are so many reasons why skateboarding is amazing, I'll try and list a few: Sense of acievement ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ When you learn/land a new trick it is the best feeling in the world. It doesnt matter if someone can do something better than you, its all about personal achievment. The feeling you get ... Read review
Advantages: A literal and legitimate high Disadvantages: Returning to earth
I used to be afraid of heights. To cope as a child I would practice my own aversion therapy, climbing trees with my chums as a way to prove myself to myself. Over time the therapy took hold and I came to enjoy the exhiliration of height - graduating from trees to hilltops offering miles distant vistas. And even in the mundanity of daily life a simple pleasure could be exacted - a pleasure I had always thought could only be achieved with motor vehicular ......Driving through one such concrete edifice near my home I noticed cycle racks on the bottom level and in an instant the germ of an idea blossomed. Two days later I had a spare hour and was heading out on the bike. And I knew exactly where I was going. It's funny the simple things that give rise to such excitement. In five minutes I was at the entrance to the car park, checking behind me to make sure there were no cars I would hold up on my ascent, ... Read review

Advantages: Legacy, sport for all Disadvantages: When politicians get involved, no legacy to stand on
...far more innocent time, where sport was really about enjoyment not just money and power plays. ] There's a real danger of bandwagon jumping at the next Olympics and even on the back of another outstanding performance by Team GB at the last Olympics - but I just hope that somewhere along the line whoever is in charge gets the message that sports and politics should never be mixed..... " A QUESTION TIME OF SPORT" SCENE 1. - Three Legged ......THEME FROM BBC'S QUESTION OF SPORT / MIXED IN WITH QUESTION TIME THEME F/X: SOUND OF CHEERING CROWDS DES LYNAM: "Hi , Des Lynam here. A warm welcome to 5-Live listeners on this very special sporting occasion, as we continue our build up towards the London Olympics 2012. Advantages: keeps you fit, social, strategic Disadvantages: knee strain
Squash is a very tactical game involving two players (or four for doubles) in a four wall hall holding raquets, the aim is to hit the rubber ball against the opposite wall, in between the two lines repeatedly, scoring points. The court is marked with two serving boxes. Which ball used in the game defers the speed and bounce of the ball, as they are colour coded. this varies the game difficulty and experience level. Squash is a very demanding game ......I tend to play squash as it socialises me with people and keeps you very fit in a fun way. I also like tennis but i believe squash pushes me to the next level as it is more challenging and a worlwide sport. The only bad points is the strain caused on the knees for old or younger players, but proper shoes etc should help this matter. I would recommend anyone to have a go at squash but be warned its hard work and a small level of fitness is needed. ... Read review
