I had high hopes for this toy when I bought it for my son for his first birthday and, although he loves it, I have not been happy at all. We bought this for our little boy who is mad about Doctor Who. Until getting this he hadn't been as crazy about craft activities though. The shaker maker is ideal not so much mess, but the instructions still require lots of adult support and this is one of the reasons I would aim the set at the ages 7 and over.
