Figures For Fans
Review of Character Options Doctor Who 5 Inch Figures by
Amy69
Advantages: Cheap, Great for collections
Disadvantages: A lot to buy
...Billie Piper) is the first character we see in Doctor Who in the first series, and goes on to becoming the Doctor's companion. She is a very bubbly and emotional girl, who would not leave the Doctor's side no matter what the circumstances were.
I hunted high and low for this figure as I could not find it anywhere! In the end I did find it, but a few weeks after, my dog got hold if it and chewed poor Rose to bits, so I had to buy another one, which ... ...be a few more key character figures;
>Jackie Tyler
>9th Doctor (not part of the regeneration set)
>Jabe (The End Of The World)
>Pete Tyler
>Sarah Jane Smith (School Reunion)
*****
The figures are not expensive either, with a RRP of just 6.99! They are well worth that price if you love Doctor Who!
*****
So, will we be seeing these figures selling for hundreds of pounds later in the future? Well, maybe not, but they are fantastic to own if ...

Doctor Who 6 figure set Review
Review of Character Options Doctor Who Six Figure Gift Pack - Series 3 by
Chrishutchy
Advantages: Good price and quality
Disadvantages: random series 3 figures, no theme
...The figures are made by Character who makes a lot of fantastic children's toys and they make all of Doctor Who's. They have produced these finely made poseable figures. They are fantastic to recreate some classic Doctor Who moments in your front room or to keep in the box and collect them for the future. In fact certain figures bought new at £6.99 in 2006 are now selling for over £50! That's over £40 profit in only 2 years so; imagine what the price ...

Dora the Explorer Sparkle and Twirl Mermaid
Review of Mattel Dora The Explorer Sparkle Mermaid by
MikiG
Advantages: It's Dora!
Disadvantages: Poor quality, doesn't really work
My little girl loves Dora the Explorer and anything sparkly, twirly or mermaidy so this should have been perfect for her birthday... however...it doesn't work! The storytelling function on the base seems to work okay, and her skirt transforms from mermaid Dora to beach Dora as it should, but when transforming back from Beach Dora to Mermaid Dora she stops singing halfway through her song then gets stuck and makes a horrible mechanical whirring noise ... ...all over the 'net, some worse. And one added niggle; you would assume that from the "sparkle" in the title, there might be some sparkly lights or something in the base, but it seems the only sparkle is on the skirt. I have one very disappointed 4 year old birthday girl. Avoid. ...

This Train will terminate sooner rather then later
Review of Brio Remote Control Express Train by
JohnCheese
Advantages: nice design, good remote, children like it
Disadvantages: too many batteries, not so cheap
...owner of substantial number of Brio train collection pieces (rails, bridges, trains, wagons, traffic signs, buildings, animals, trees...). All of them were pretty static unless moved manually. This was his first battery operated vehicle and on top of that it has remote control. I thought that would be a good opportunity to stop him playing with various remote controls for adults. (It was only a thought as there are never enough remotes for boys - ... ...new dimension to the whole Brio set. My son quickly discovered all the options available from the remote so horn was used quite often; lights were on and off all the time. There is a very genuine sound when brakes are applied. It is also possible to go forward and reverse. All this could be done from the remote. On the train itself you can stop and start the engine and adjust A/B channel for communication with the remote.
Unfortunately, there is ...

Peppa Pig house not what expected.
Review of Character Options Peppa Pig Playhouse by
gsparkle4
Advantages: Easily folds up, the characters are good.
Disadvantages: Your children will get fed up with it.
I don't really rate this toy as I think that when it is advertised on Tv it looks alot bigger. The furniture that comes with it is quite small and the dining room chairs that are with it can barely fit daddy pig on them. The platforms of the house in which you put the bedroom furniture and the bath in are also thin so you can just about fit the furniture on them. My daughters really struggled to play with this toy as when they tried putting george ... ...falling off. There isn't really much for them to do with the house and they got bored of it very quickly. However they do still play with the actual figures: mummy pig, daddy pig, peppa pig and George. These are a decent size and haven't got small bits that can fall of them . Overal I expected this toy to be better with more to do and bigger in size the only really good thing about it is that the house folds up so is easy to carry and everything ...
