Advantages: OLP with a new album is always good, Raine's voice, More musical freedom Disadvantages: Sounds like their missing some of the magic of their really early stuff
Having been a long time OurLady Peace fan I was quite surprised when I saw Burn Burn available for download on Amazon, having never actually even known of it's existence until I saw it (shows what a great fan I am) I placed it in my virtual trolley and purchased it without reading anything about it. In fact despite their being samples of each track on the site I decided that Canadians were good enough and I was a big enough fan to just go and get it blind.
OurLady Peace have been around for a little over a decade now, and probably scored their biggest hit with a non-album track (well originally it was non-album) called ?Whatever?, it was better known as Chris Benoit's entrance music when he was in the wwf/wwe before his death. Though what is perhaps lesser know (out side of North America) is that they are an incredibly strong band ...
Advantages: There are a couple of good songs and promise for others... Disadvantages: Just too many bland tracks to be a good album; repetitive and altogether dull
Although many bands will tell you that their second album was the most difficult to make, particularly if it?s an offering following commercial success, I often view a bands fifth or sixth album to be among their most significant. It?s not only down to the fact that I like the numbers five and six but it seems to be a turning point for many bands ? The Beatles went on to release another cracking movie soundtrack for ?Help!? with album number five whilst Placebo, many decades later, completely bombed with their sixth studio release, ?Battle For The Sun? and sadly it?s a trap OurLady Peace fell into back in the June of 2002.
By the time you get to a fifth album, bands perhaps see it as a time for extreme change; the majority of the bands I like fit the tag of ?alternative? so with each record, you?d expect a group to grow out of their ...
Advantages: idyllic, beautiful......plenty of woodland!!! Disadvantages: quiet for those party people!!!
were planted over 11,000 acres. Thank you Lord Nelson!!! Obviously there was still a high demand for the timber so from then on there were carefull planting and felling programmes which have kept our glorious forest for us to enjoy today. Anyway there is a "brief" overview for you!!!
****THE VILLAGES AND TOWNS****
1 - The "Royal Ancient Forest"
Coleford - Situated in the middle of the Forest, coleford is a small market town, comprising of the few essential shops expected in a town, Bells hotel and golf course, plenty of takeaways, banks, and on the outskirts forest hills golf course.
Cinderford - again another main forest town, and again another market town. Cinderford is slightly bigger than coleford, therefore has more shops and services. No golf courses here though!!! Cinderford along with coleford lies in the heart ...
