This product has been out for the last few years. When it launched I seem to rememeber it being a big deal that this was an air freshener that not only scented the place, making it smell better, but targeting the problem as well. You can obviously still buy this these days, but you don't seem to hear that much about it.

The one I am using at the moment is Garden Fresh, as I don't like the 2 other smells - Fresh smells a bit like Pine and Citrus to me doesn't smell very Citrusy! It is sold in 300ml tins and this costs around £1.40. Sometimes can be found on offer for £1.

This product has been out for the last few years. When it launched I seem to rememeber it being a big deal that this was an air freshener that not only scented the place, making it smell better, but targeting the problem as well. It is manufactured by SC johnson and available in 3 smells, Citrus, fresh and Garden Fresh.
The design of the tin is alright. It is mainly white and has either a green lid - fresh, yellow lid - cirtus or pink lid - garden fresh. The lids are attatched to the tins and you press the button it and it sprays directly up into the air. Although it does work into the air it only squirts for about 3 seconds and then you'd be best holding it upside down. The writing is in blod blue and it has a cartoon like picture of a meadow with flowers and sunshine and mountains. Very pretty.
The blurb on the tin says "Oust Odour eliminator. eliminates odours without just masking. It's special formula neutralises bad odour molecules in the air such as pets, bathroom, smoke and musky, mildew odours leaving your home smelling clean and fresh."
So, any good? Well alright. As I said | don't like the other smells, but other people may like them. This smell is quite sweet and floral smelling, but if you do spray a lot of it the smell will catch you in the back of the throat.
For an ordinary air freshener I wouldn't pick this up, but I always have 1 in the house to deal with odours. One of the most lingering smell we have in our house is if we've had fish for tea and this can linger in the kitchen until the next day. Our living room is next to the kitchen, so I scoosh this and it hides the odour away.
A worthwhile buy if you use it for what it does best.
Advantages: effective and easy to use Disadvantages: only one size available
...local Asda I saw this Oust spray and vaguely remembered seeing a TV ad for it so I bought one to try. I must admit to being pleasantly surprised. (I'm not too believing when it comes to advertising). It has quite a subtle odour but the manufacturer's claim that it absorbs smells by neutralising the bad odour molecules rather than trying to mask them does seem to be authentic. It's certainly a vast improvement on the conventional sprays and at only ... ...did in fact get in touch with S C Johnson the manufactures of this product as in the product lists it was down as Oust Air Sanitizer.. This is the marketing name for sales to the USA. The identical product for sale over here is Oust Odour Eliminater. ...

Oust has already been reviewed , but I thought I would update now the new fragrance free option is available
Now , call me strange , but if I smell air fresheners in someone's house I tend to wonder what it is they are trying to cover up .... some weird smoking habit ?? Bad personal hygiene ?? Or just a general lack of attention to basic housework . But thats just me .. lol .. always did have an inquisitive mind and a wild imagination !!
By the ... ...curry
Then I tried Oust when it first came out
I went for the fresh green " Outdoor scent " as only two fragrances were available at the time and Ive always disliked fake florals , and although it did get rid of unwanted smells completely there was still a slightly odd , tangy residue in the air in the morning
So , once again I abandoned the spray until I saw the new fragrance free variant on the shelf
That evening I let loose the spices with ...

"Immediately after spraying, Oust® AirSanitizer attaches to odor-causing bacteria in the air. After exposure, bacteria die and are carried out of the air. Oust® AirSanitizer also attaches to other odor-causing molecules like smoke, carrying the odor out of the air."
I usually pay £1.62 for a 300ml can at my local Co-op, but bought some from Asda on the weekend for £1.00, which is great value.
I have seen it avaliable in the following fragrances: Outdoor scent - green, garden fresh - pink & citrus scent - yellow. I don't really have a favourite, none of them are that great and smell fairly similar. All three fragrances have an 'underlying' smell about them, which I presume is the real Oust smell, but reminds me of hairspray! I'm not worried about the fragrance, it's the one I'm trying to get rid of I worry about! You don't need to ...
