A Very Much Loved Toy
Review of Mothercare 5-in-1 Trekker by looblylu

Advantages: Adapts as your child grows
Disadvantages: Safety Harness is useless

I bought the pink version of this for my 8 month old daughter for christmas and ever since its impossible to keep her out of it! At £50 this you was not cheap, it does however claim to be suitable from 6months to 3 years, so £50 is reasonable for 2 and a half years of play. The instructions for putting it together were easy enough to follow (even though i am hopeless at that sort of thing) But some parts needed a considerable amount of pressure ...
...fabric cover is nice and soft but it would have been better to have a wipe clean plastic surface than a fabric one since my daughter likes to smear biscuit on it daily. The toys on the activity tray aren't that entertaining, the key is hard to turn and the rolling ball has a very short appeal. Luckily for me my daughter is content hitting the horn and dancing to one if its three sounds (two are ordinary beeping sounds, one is a little song) Some ... Read review

Not bad for a cheap first ride
Review of Mothercare My first ride on and walker by mikefnw75

Advantages: Cheap, affordable price
Disadvantages: Not very sturdy, better ride ons are on the market

...we settled for the this Mothercare version. The biggest benefit of this ride on is its price. At £9.99 it is incredibly cheap. We made the decision to purchase this as it fitted our son's age range as it was suitable from 12 months. Furthermore we realised that at this price we could afford to make a mistake and purchase a more sophisticated ride on later if necessary. The ride on needs to be assembled once purchased but this is a very easy process ...
...have found a useful means of employing their father who has to go down on all fours and push the youngest around the sofa as fast. We create wonderful Grand Prixs although the fire engines usually beats the Mothercare car but I give credit to the driver rather than models. ... Read review

...of plastic and like all Little Tykes toys is tough, strong and hardwearing. Size and Weight = The weight of the easy score basketball net and stand without sand or water is 10lb's. The size of the easy score basktball net in inches is 22.0 x 23.75 x 60.0. ...Connor, the four year old little boy I look after has gained a lot from this he can now catch the ball, easily get the ball in the net and waits patiently for his turn when a few of us are playing. Connor is also learning to bounce the ball (we have bought a small harder ball to go with the set) and he can throw, catch and score from greater distances now. Lucy, three years old can get the ball in the net and is learning to catch the ball. Lucy ... Read review

Tauro 10 in 1 Trike
Review of Smart Trike with Sunroof by angelicange25

Advantages: Young tots can go for a ride
Disadvantages: Flimsy, expensive, can't turn if using the safety feature, Lots of plastic

...looked at these reviews for Smart Trike and decided as they were a mixed bunch we'd look at alternatives. We bought a Tauro 10 in 1 trike for £89.99 from Argos, believing that you get what you pay for. WRONG!! What attracted us to the Tauro was the safety cage that attaches to the bike to secure your child (our 13 month old son in this case). This seemed prudent having read of the A & E visits sustained after falls form Smart Trikes. Unfortunately ...
...can imagine the trike is a good toy to own but it is definitely not worth the money and is no use if you want to use the parent handle and turn corners or bends! We're going to try the Smart Trike out and hope the niggles have been altered. ... Read review

Little Tikes Grande Coupe - the Cosy's Cousin....
Review of Little Tikes Grande Coupe Car by lucysmum06

Advantages: High quality, durable, popular
Disadvantages: Constructing the wheels requires serious muscle

...years. Although oddly the little tikes official website gives the measurements exactly the same as the cosy coupe I know from owning this car the grand coupe is slightly wider and higher. I remember myself playing in the cosy coupe when I was little and desperately trying to squish in! My daughter is fairly tall for her age and I didn't want this to outgrow her quickly. To give you an idea of how roomy it is two 22 month olds can sit together (one ...
...some serious brute strength and can get frustrating. My little girl loves this toy and so do all her friends which does mean we sometimes have to hide it to avoid tears! These points aside, it is a great little toy. I wish I could fit in it. ... Read review
