Alex Delaware is a child psychologist. At the beginning of the book Alex recieves a strange call from one of his old patients, Jarney.
After the call Jarney is accused of some serious homosexual killing that have shocked Los Angeles. The lawyers ask Alex to look at Jarneys recent history in a hope to try and get Jarney a lessor sentence by proving diminshed responsilibility.
Alex is soon fired from his duites but carries on his work. Alex follows a journey across LA, visiting mountains, mansions and biker cabins along the way.
Alex is again helped by his friend homicide detective Milo Sturgis.
This is the 3rd Alex Delaware book and is richly psychological, more complexly plotted and is the best yet!
