Well, had the slim for a few weeks now (my 1st ever playstation), personally, I'm a little underwhelmed by it, I've been a gamer since the nintendo game & watch days & owned @ least 1 of the current gen consoles since the Mega Drive(Genesis).
Graphically the system has the potential to wipe the floor with the 360, but this is really only going to apply to PS3 exclusives as any software house making a multi-platform game is going to be as cost effective (lazy) as possible & use the same graphics on all the games where possible(ok, they need to dumb them down for the Wii). My problem here is that I have yet to get a game for it that runs in 1080P, they all seem to be in 720P! Why???? I'm sure they are out there, but I haven't found one yet. I guess this is down to most HD tv's being HD ready rather than Full HD.

The ps3 best console i have ever played. This console is so worth the money exhilirating graphics and performance. Although at the moment the only games worth getting are Motorstorm and f1.
definetely the best yet..The quality has come a long way from the old playstation to the new machines.
sony have put in a lot of effort into great detail and shorter loadings times.
I would also recommend resistance fall of man ( which is a great war game) with a 60 gig hard drive this is a phenominal console.
with blu ray this is also the best dvd player ever beating xbox 360 which only has a hd player. we play it all day long trying to beat the f1 sesason which is very hard as one mistake and your out of the race. ...
I have recently sold my 60GB PS3 'Phat' and replaced it with a 250GB Slim model and so far I couldn't be happier with it.

For 99% of people this will be the key area that the console has to perform in - and it does. I've played a wide variety of games on it since I bought it including FIFA, Call of Duty, Assassins Creed 2 and various demos. All of these play very smoothly and the graphics are of a very good high-definition quality.
I can see no difference between the performance of the original 'Phat' models and the 'Slim' model.
~~~ Blu-Ray Player ~~~
So far the only Blu-Ray movie I have watched on the 'Slim' is Transformers 2. I have watched parts of it on both a stand-alone Blu-Ray player and on the original PS3 and again I can see no difference.
The picture quality is very bright ...

Set in a seriously twisted fantasy world, Overlord: Raising Hell is an action adventure that has players being ruthless, determined, and even a little despotic as they pillage lands and conquer kingdoms in order to be proclaimed the all-powerful Overlord. At the heart of the game is an army of slavish little creatures known as Minions, and their presence provides Overlord: Raising Hell with its deliciously dark comedic touches. Totally loyal to their Overlord, Minions will use their unique skills to fetch, fight and even die for him. Opportunists by nature, a Minion will rob an opponent of a mighty axe to arm themselves with and steal armour to wear for protection. Players will amass armies of up to 50 Minions as they explore and conquer the world's five domains. Use the Minions tactically and they'll always be on hand, ready to sacrifice themselves just to save the Overlord's illustrious arse.
