Advantages Does clear spots before thay start

Disadvantages Could irritate skin if used in excess

I have bought a tube of this for my 21 year old as, where he has been under the weather, stuck indoors on crutches and sleeping on the leather sofa so a bit sweatier that normal, no work or fresh air.

He broke his leg whilst training for his BMX-ing at The xtreme games NASS at the Royal Bath and West Showground.

Any way as he couldnt climb the stairs and he was sleeping on the leather sofa and getting sweaty, obviously the blame fell on me for buying a leather sofa when he had an outbreak of a rather bad lot of spots on his face.

Purely for the sake of every-one in our house, I bought him some (what I thought )expensive cream, to use and hopefully clear them up.

I gave him the tube and told him not to go over the top using it as it had cost me £4.09p for a small 20g tube.
I didnt mind paying that much if the stuff worked.

Oxy On The Spot Cream
The lady in the chemist told me that OXY On The Spot would be better for my son as it was specially formulated to deal with the thicker and more acidic skin of a male. I knew that mens skin was different from female skin but I didnt think it would need a different kind of spot cream !

The instruction leaflet made it sound excellent and quoted:

OXY has a unique ‘4 Way Action’* designed to tackle spots, blackheads and oily skin. The 4 way action works quickly to:

•remove dead skin
•kill bacteria
•eliminate excess oil
•reduce redness.

I left him to get on with it and read the instructions to see how and when to apply the cream.

The next morning when I went into the sitting room, I looked at my son, and his face seemed really red, like he had been sat on a beach all day.
He said that it felt sore too.

I asked him how much he had used, but could see by the Tube he had used too much and it seemed to have burnt the twit !

I read the instructions and it said to be used twice a day, not everyhalf hour as he was probably doing it, and he was supposed to dap a small ammount on the spots not all over his face !

This again was my fault !!!
Talk about the patient from hell !

The tube of OXY was then abandened to the bathroom cabinet, where it remained until my next son down who is 18yrs old, but by far more grown up, found it and used it whenever he had the onset of a spot. I didnt know that he had been using it until it was almost empty, (the older boy had'nt left alot in the tube), and a request was made for me to get some more. So that proved that it doesnt take a degree in rocket science to use it !

My 18yr old thought that OXY was great, as soon as he felt a spot he dabbed it with Oxy as instructed and 9 times out of 10 the spot did not manifest itself.

Over all I would say that OXY does work if used properly, but I am still not 100% sure that any Oxy type product wouldnt do exactly the same or whether as this is designed for mens skin, it does actually work better for males.

When used as instructed it probably will last a long time, so would not seem to be alot of money for such a small ammount of cream.

I would recommend Oxy On The Spot whilst also issuing warning about the over use as it could irritate.

As for my older son, I got him some wipes for his skin, far easier to operate !!!!!!

Just reading over the effects made me think, maybe it's got benzoyl peroxide or something similar in it? I used to get prescription stuff with that in and it was pretty strong stuff - it used to leave me red and blotchy for the first few minutes and it irritated me so much I gave up using it. Definitely sounds like an intensive product.
