Advantages: Good looking, help cool brakes Disadvantages: can be expensive, not available to fit every car
Oz Superturismos
Have just bought a second hand set of this for my Citroen Saxo VTS, saw some of these advertised for £80 with tyres, what a bargain so off we went to get them.
Oz wheels are a racing car brand and Superturismos are fitted to famous rally cars, used in World Rally Championship.
They have 16 spokes which are brilliant for cooling hot brakes down by letting air flow get to them and also this helps avoid rim ovalization due to stress. I specifically wanted this as I have rather large brakes at the front of my car.
They are a very popular wheel often put on cars by car enthusiasts mainly for styling purposes, they are a very good looking wheel and suit most cars, they are extremely well made and have a lovely hard wearing finish. They come in a stunning ice white colour with red Oz racing decals in the centre ...
Advantages: Fun for most of the family Disadvantages: Seems a little dated but that's to be expected
on TV at Christmas.
I like this film but as a young child I found the Witch of the West rather frightening. It may not be suitable for very small children, I think. Or maybe I was just too soft!
What's often startling about "The Wizard of Oz" is the change from black and white to colour and back again. At the time this version was made, black and white signified reality as used in documentaries and colour meant fantasy. This is how we know Oz isn't real but we wonder how Dorothy will get back.
As I said earlier, the story has been made lots of times but this is the one everyone remembers, not least because of Judy Garland's performance. She looks like a woman but again, is playing someone supposedly much younger. It's worth putting it into context as well. In 1939 trouble was brewing in Europe with the Second World War ...
Advantages: Chills or warms wine. Disadvantages: No guidance on correct temperatures given and won't take champagne bottles.
tastes of is, er, cold.
Shortly before Christmas I was browsing for something else entirely when I chanced on the OzClarke Electric Bottle Chiller for £29.95. I've seen OzClarke on television and thought that he was a bit of a buffoon, but a buffoon who knew something about wine. Not only would the machine chill wines, it would also warm them, having a temperature range of 3°C to 50°C. It would, I was told, ensure that my favourite wine was served at the correct temperature. Two extras sealed the deal for me - it was wide enough to take champagne bottles and an OzClarkewine guide was included in the price. It was sold to the lady whose dogs were trying to do some wine tasting on the bottle she'd just put near the radiator in the dining room.
I fondly imagined that I would select my wine, say a decent Rioja, look up the correct ...
