I bought the Bionaire BAP242 Compact AirPurifier with Ioniser in 2005, and I have just bought another which is why I am writing this review.
It's an excellent product, and serves it's purpose brilliantly. After a few hours of use, you can feel the difference in the quality of the air. I find that it works best in a room where the door is closed. There are many reviews which state that the airpurifier does not do what it's supposed to do, I beg to differ. It just needs to be used correctly (that is, in the correct area of the room, etc).
The filters, which need to be replaced every 6-12 months, can be purchased over the telephone (the number is in the instruction guide), or from various sites online.

The idea of an airpurifier for home use is a good one. You will need to be able to quickly and easily replace any filtration units and have a machine that is not too obtrusive for any domestic use.
Way back in January 2006 I bought 4 of these airpurifier units. I am a smoker but I like to keep my smoking to only one room of my house and I wanted to try to keep this from going into all the other rooms. This was not the only reason as both my wife and myself seem to suffer a bit with hay fever. I wanted to get a filter into several rooms of the house.
