Team Fortress 2 - the most original game for a long time!
Advantages: Truly original and completely addictive, great community for all players Disadvantages: No use if you are unable to play online
...opportunities open to you in Team Fortress 2, the Scout is a nimble baseball fan armed with a scattergun and a baseball bat who can run circles around slower enemies until... He runs into range of an engineer's sentry gun built nicely into a corner with its turtle-like maker crouching behind it with glee and replenishing its ammo until... The true master of disguise sneaks up from behind invisible and silently uncloaks behind the engineers' unsuspecting ... ...the labourer and in one movement stabs him in the spine and plants a sapper on his gun rendering it useless if unattended. The engineer watches helpless as the life is drawn from his loving creation until it is destroyed and countless more of his teammates are backstabbed. On your own this game is brilliant to play, but make a few friends and play tactically with them and it is out of this world! Sending one friend forward to spy and take out guns ...

In short, a game that defines a generation of fps followers!
Advantages: Epic singleplayer campaign, Immense mulitplayer - large community welcoming new players Disadvantages: Frustrating if you're at the lower end of the spectrum as balance can seem tipped others
...unmatched moral questionning of gameplay. Call of Duty Modern Warfare blows out the stops on virtually every aspect of its genre.
The graphics are absolutely top notch with stunningly rendered weapon models and gritty urban environments that are often being showered with raining debris and littered with fallen comrades. No other game can come close to recreating the pressure of trying to make a vital snipe while being blinded by choking smoke and ... ...for playing skillfully as you call in an airstrike to rain down fiery death upon your opponents! While at the other end of the spectrum - every kill clawed for is a big morale hit, ending a frustrating death spree. Don't worry, everybody goes through it! You'll always have the comfort of some weighty weapon attatchments to even the tables if you want - how about a grenade launcher sir? Certainly that will make "N00b-pwner96" think twice about running ...

The master of the simulation game returns
Advantages: Excellent graphics, simple control system, good game depth, excellent amount of careers on offer Disadvantages: Lack of things to purchase when first purchase the game but can download add ons
The Sims 3 sees the hugely successful franchise from EA games return with its newest version on the PC following The Sims 2 and all of its expansion packs, The Sims Castaway and The Sims Stories. This is the game all of those who loved the Sims have been waiting for and keeping hope up that it would fix all of those little things wrong with the old versions but does it deliver? First impressions on loading the game were that is once again had an ... ...department which were the 2 biggest worries I had as these were the 2 basic elements. So once I was past these 2 hurdles did things get better or worse? Well the game once again allowed the player a good amount of control over the development of your household but disappointingly I felt the game did lack items to be purchased and felt that this was something lacking which I had beleived the game would have addressed but I am guessing this has been ...

Football Manager returns
Advantages: Great depth of gameplay, fantastic interface, 3D match engine allows you to see tactics work Disadvantages: Takes a long time to install and steam does cause some frustration
...huge depth that has made Football Manager the market leader in the football managing genre.
So...is it still the best??? Well this is always going to come down to the individual person and their choice but if you stick at it and get used to the new developments you appreciate it more and more and see how fantastic the small improvements really are. If you are willing to sit and make notes on tactics, players, training and all other areas then you ...

It's so good, you'll get withdrawls
Advantages: Fun, Easy to pick up, Massive amounts of replayability Disadvantages: You won't want to stop playing, Takes a large amount of time to get to the end
Quite simply put, this game is a masterpiece. If you've been playing video games for any appreciable amount of time, you'll know that Blizzard has one of the best track records in the industry. From Warcraft, to Starcraft, to the phenomenally successful Diablo franchise, Blizzard puts their all into each effort. With WoW (the acronym most players prefer) they really have outdone themselves. You'l first notice that the game looks fantastic even if ... ...or some of the other next-gen games out there. However, unlike those graphic-powerhouses, WoW will run on a wide range of systems so if you have a decent system, you'll probably be fine. However, the graphics are noticeably better on a higher end system. Anyways, onto actual gameplay. Character creation is a breeze and as soon as you step foot into Azeroth, you'll immediately know what to do. Blizzard's made the game intuitive and easy enough (at ...
