Microsoft have done a good job in creating a very real experience for the player. The train detail is almost perfect, down to the sound the train would make going over uneven track or going through a tunnel. The track layout is very similar to the tracks that are there in real life too. They haven't just kept it as a simulation either, there are missions that you can do with each train to hone your skills. For example, you ... ...or you can take the train out just after a storm hit and there are various speed limits/diversions in place to try and get you used to the real experience.
These things all combined will make it the essential train simulation game for any avid train enthusiast around. The only downsides are that there aren't many trains, and that it caters for such a small market. ...
