...I had not played a need for speed game since NFS: Most Wanted, and was looking for a good street racing game.
However, I was sorely disappointed. The game is a track racing game, a far cry from the game I was expecting. It is a well presented game with intense visual effects, however I quickly grew bored of the repetitive gameplay. It is clearly meant as a pure racing game, with police chases gone, and as such the NFS franchise has lost some of ...
...Bad mistake to make.
Driver is exactly what is says. It's purely driving to certain points to complete your mission. You should generally avoid the police as chances are you will be speeding and they're far from easy to shake. The most disappointing thing is that although you're told what the mission is you don't see much story even in the shoddy cutscenes and it doesn't even feel like you're taking part in one. Driver consists of you driving from ... ...the entire game and it never changes, it's completely and utterly mundane. At the time I played it the graphics were very poor, at the time of release I have no idea how good those graphics would be considered to be. Overall the graphics and sound are poor, the gameplay is.....well what is the gameplay? Unless you have a serious desire to torture yourself avoid it. ...

Review of Driver (PC)
Advantages: Just about everything! Disadvantages: none
...different things to do. From race at different venues, different cars, different types of races, to include the drifting challenges and the destruction derby races. I also like the fact that you're able to customize the paint job on the car from hundreds of colours and designs it really is fantastic!
You are also able to acquire new sponorship logos and put them on your car for extra bonuses. I'm a fan of little touches like this.
For those of ... ...what I mean when I say it;s like driving on ice! This game is so much better. You feel as if you're driving on a track! And the sound is amazing, from engine noise to smashes and tyre bursts! Provided you have a decent graphics card the game looks brilliant too. There are 4 or 5 difficulty levels, ranging from the usuall novice to expert modes. I expect this game will take a while to complete, and even then you will want to play all over again!

...quite a huge fan of Need for speed since the first game tat was out which used to run in dos mode. Lol. And by far, Need for speed has been the best racing evolving series ever played. Its been ages since the Need for speed series has gone back to track racing. All series have been mostly till date street racing, but pro street goes back to track racing and thats where things seem to go wrong. The concept of the game is that you own a car, trick ... ...There is not excitement as like running and evading police which happened in Need for speed most wanted.
3. The story could have been a little exciting by adding a few secret races and rivals and friends.
4. Chopping cop chases off the list was the biggest mistake EA did. ...
This game sucks The graphics are adaquate sound is ok but the gameplay sucks on an average machine (software developers pleas note not all people have high end PCs). This game is jerky even on a tnt2 ultra and is a complete waste of my money.
There are quite a few diffrent tracks to race around but I didn`t try them all I just unistalled it and traded it in against another Game.
I would recommend playing this game when you are brain dead if you ...
