Logitech Z 5500 5.1 Surround Sound System

Advantages: Reliable, excellent value for money, loud.
Disadvantages: Can get warm during playback.

I purchased these speakers from Amazon a few years ago and they have been all round excellent. They are incredibly loud,stylish and in my opinion great value for money. What sets these speakers apart from any others are the fact that they are adaptable to so many different media centres. ...outdated TV's/PC's/iPod adapters, to simply buy a connecting lead adapter which I have seen on Amazon UK for ten pence. Addtionally, there are different settings for different media. i.e a mode for watching movies, a mode for music etc. You can easily control the amount of bass and assign a volume to which set of speakers you want to. Logitech X 230: Fantastic buy and fantastic value!

Advantages: Excellent Sound Quality and Value

I bought these speakers to replace a set that I had had for a few years and had finally packed up. I ordered these from the internet for £29.99, not a bad price for a set of computer speakers. CAN YOU FEEL THE BASE!! WHAT!!

Advantages: great sound quality for a resonable price perfect for movies
Disadvantages: Rear cables a bit short and speakers cannot be directed

I have had the Logitech x-540's a few months to accompany the new computer i have just built and am extreamly impressed. They were my first proper set of computer speakers other then the cheap 2.0 ones you can sometimes get, and i am chuffed to bits with them especially for the price i got them for £40!!! Logitech X-530 5.1 Surround Sound - great set up for the price

Advantages: Great sound, easy to assemble
Disadvantages: Need to pay extra for external sound card (if you don't have 5.1 built in)

Great Sound

Advantages: Value for money
Disadvantages: No bass control

I brought these speakers from amazon for £20 with free delivery when they were on offer. I use them at university as I always listen to my music through my laptop now and the laptopo speakers are just not sufficient.
