PC World's insurance! What a joke
Advantages: Cheaper Disadvantages: Appalling follow up service
...a laptop last year from PC World and took out extra insurance on it. Last July there was a problem with it - I rang the service people and they collected it. Guess what. It's now 8th October and we still haven't got the laptop back in working order. They delivered it back twice unrepaired, and the third time to the wrong address. Now they've lost it. Can you believe it? I would have bought a new computer by the time I've paid for all the phone calls. ... ...have to tell your whole story. Then they say they'll ring you back but never do. Incompetence is too kind a word for it.
Their products may be cheaper, but I will NEVER EVER buy anything from them again. And I will be telling my story to anyone thinking of it.. ...

POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!
Advantages: good offers Disadvantages: poor customer service
...put me off going to currys as staff look at you down there noses and are not helpful at all! The store itself does has a good range of electrical items and have some good offers on there Televisions and cookers. but after having this problem I wont be sticking around much longer too look inside as they always hesitate too take items back! not impressed and wont be going back again! ...

A Tiny work in progress....
Advantages: Good range, reasonable prices Disadvantages: Delivery times, customer service
...November, 3.5 weeks later, and Tiny have'nt even bothered contacting me. In fact I contacted them Monday, to be told the systems were being built as we spoke, so I thought ok, should be here by Wednesday then.

Don't be silly, of course not. So I phoned them again today, to be told the desktop has been ... ...right). Also told me that there is a backlog of 400+ of these laptops. Bear in mind that the website is now stating 7 working days for delivery of this laptop, I think there are going to be some very disapointed customers don't you.
Considering they took the money out of my credit card on the 20th October, I feel they should have at least contacted me to tell me there had been a delay.

Advantages: seem cheap for the spec Disadvantages: not sure
...It was a Colssus from Time and although quickly outdated served me well. So I had no problem upgrading with TIME last year and bought a Platinum package inc Athlon 34 3000.Within about 6 months it started to freeze up regularlyand then wouldnt boot. I used the free recovery disc umpteen times as I had heard bad things about their support and couldnt be bothered to phone. However eventually I did and was pleased to see the platinum package had a non ... ...time but got through during the day instead. The guy tried to repair over the phone but when he figured the PC was not recognizing the hard disc he arranged to have it collected the next day and to be repaired within a week. PC was duley collected and 3 days later I was told delivery would be made next day but no time given. waited until 4pm then got in touch, was told it was on the road but it nevere came. To cut a long story short I went to depot ...

Dell Fr could NOT tell us the true about delivery date
Advantages: GOOD COMPUTER IF YOU RECEIVE IT Disadvantages: CUSTOMER SERVICE CAN NOT HELP AND THEY PUT DOWN THE PHONE ON YOU
...France when I ordered a Dell slim desktop for my mother in law, we placed the order on the 11 02 2009 and we were told it will arrive in 5days then we got an email from Dell saying at the latest 23 02 2009 then the seller told us it MAYbe on the 27 02 2009 then we got a message saying it will be 10 03 2009 at the latest then I checked the delivery tracker and it said at the latest it will now be 17 03 2009. I phoned the seller representing Dell many ... ...but no reply yet and Dell Fr customer service email are not working, we are so disappointed and we had to alter our return to UK twice. It is now 05 03 2009, we can not wait any more!!!!!!!!!!
I could not believe the Dell fr services as I have great experienced with Dell uk.
