This really follows on from my previous opinion.I cannot tell people enough of how much I HATE THIS COMPANY.
After they ripped my eye balls from my sockets when I first bought my computer, I was a mug and went back for seconds when I saw various things like half price printers or games on offer.Every Saturday they normally take out a two page advert in my paper showing this weeks special offers.So every now and again, off I go in hunt of a bargain.
Every time I go ( I can think of three staight away of the top of my head) when I get there I cannot find any sign at all of my intended purchase.So of I go in search of Mr Spotty and friends, if and when you can find an assistant the response is always the same.Sorry we have sold out and we are not expecting anymore in for a while.This I believe is a lie, because A :-I cannot find in the shop where the articles have been.Surely there should be an empty space some were and a pricing label?? And B :- the day after the four day sale ends guess what??.....they appear back in stock........as Paul Daniels would say...MAGIC......as Barry would say RIP OFF.
Another thing that p*sses me off is when I bought a scanner for £69.00.Its a basic thing but gets little use and serves it purpose to me.I when for this one as the £39.99 model had....you guessed it...sold out.I was asked if I wanted a two year warranty for an extra £40.I told him no and off he went to get the scanner from the storeroom.On his return he say he had a word for me with the manager and he offered me the warranty for only £25 quid.Again I said no and off I went home.When I got home I found that the scanner already had a two year guarantee with it.Again I think there warranties are a rip off and people are pushed into buying them when they dont really need it.
I think some of there offers are quite good.So I now buy on line from www.pcworld.co.uk and only after I have hunted around first.

This op is really good fun to read - there's obvious anger behind your comments, and ops written with real passion are usually worth looking at. If only the English were a bit better, it would get a VH.

Sadly we all live and learn, if only more would be PC Worls punters read articles like yours?
Advantages: There's bound to be a store near you. Disadvantages: Misinformed sales staff, misleading advertising, expensive for components, expensive support
