PC World

There are a few PC Worlds within 15 miles of my house and I have visited all at various times. They are all laid out in a similar fashion, which for me does not seem a very logical one. Everything just seems to be placed where there is an available space. You could spend a considerable time trying to find the item you require or indeed an assistant to help you. Such is not the case if you choose to visit PC World cyber style, that is their website...................www.pcworld.co.uk.

On the opening page ton the right hand side there are several pictures linking you to what they consider to be their best current bargains, and indeed they do appear to be exactly that good bargains. The left hand side of the screen of the screen is a list of categories which when clicked expand to produce a further selection, and open that window in the centre of the screen.

The top portion of the screen is occupied by their logo on the left and a small selection of menus which enable you to view your account and your basket, find help and support or sign up for their email flyers which are send periodically. Here you can also find an option whereby you can give feedback about anything you feel you need to.

Under this is a larger area which is used by the user to enter search criteria to facilitate a quicker find of the item you are looking for. Sometimes the pages do take a little longer to load, but in general it is reasonably quick to cross between pages. The whole site is quite well laid out and very easy to navigate. Just under the main top portion of the screen are some major menu options of the most popular items selected by visitors to the site.

I recently purchased a PC from them from their refurbished selections, and was informed that it would be delivered in 5 - 7 working days. This was on the Saturday on the Monday I received an email asking me to contact them, which I duly did and on the Tuesday my PC was delivered...................2 days, excellent service. The site is very secure so purchasing with a card is not a problem. If you do have problems with your purchase the customer service is very good and I have had no problems on that score.

The prices here are very favourable to those of the actual stores, being that there are often quite a few discounts to be had, some of exceptional value. All in all the site is a pleasurable visit and I use it frequently just to catch up on what is new and how much it is liable to cost me.
