Error after error with PC World (business)

I ordered a laptop on line late on a friday. I phoned on moday AM to ensure that the laptop was allocated to my order correctly, as this was essential for business. Everything was apparently OK. I phoned again on Tuesday as this was important. Assured that delivery would be on Wedn ofr Thursday. I waited in both those days. On Thursday late afternoon I phoned up and was told my order had been 'held' and that there no more such laptops in the country. Nobody had ever bothered to inform me, probably the staff had no knowledge, there was nothing in the system to inform them.

Friday I spent on long phone calls to PC World and going to their shops to see if there were any suitable alternatives. Their salesmen just tried to sell me various laptops. I went back. Just 1 of my phone calls lasted more that an hour, -- 20 mins of it to their outsourced centre in the Czech Republic.

I was stupid enough to persist and placed an order for a similar laptop that I was assured would arrive on Saturday (I paid premium delivery). Only the laptop case arrived. On Monday I phoned up and the person said it was due to arrive in another 2 or 3 days. Today is still this, the second monday.

I think someone once said the definition of stupidity is doing something again and again and believing that the outcome will differ.

I went online and found the same laptop for about £20 cheaper, but with an offer from the manufacturer for a £100 cashback. PC World of course never informed me of the cashback offer.

I had purchased all my previous machines from different shops. I will continue to do so.
