This is a great handheld pocket PC and what's more, you can carry it around with you wherever you go. Just think of all of the things you can do with a compact computer at the palm of your hands. Write documents and notes when you need to, particularly great when organising your life to put it simpler. I mean, it's far better then a diary because if you're anything like me, you probably ... ...of losing my pocket PC. You can easily access the internet from wherever you are, if you need to look up tube/train times at last minute, you can. If you perhaps want to just research something at a particular moment for example in a pub quiz - I'm not saying you should cheat at pub quizzes or anything - well they're easy anyway. But what's more, you can check your email regularly without having the hassle of turning on your home computer when you've ...

Great IPAQ!!! :-)
Review of Compaq iPAQ Pocket PC H3760 by
Ian233mmx
Advantages: Easy to use, Looks nice, Expansion packs available, Can be used for GPS or MP3 player.
Disadvantages: Battery life can be quite low if the screen backlight is on, Expansion packs are expensive.
I am very pleased with my Ipaq. My IPAQ was running Windows Pocket PC (ce 3.0), which is fully of handy features, however recently I decided I wanted to try installing Linux on it and see how it goes. So with help from my mate I installed GPE Linux, and it is currently working fine. Linux comes with more features than Windows Pocket PC, and I would recommend installing Linux on your Ipaq only if you have experience with Linux.
Overall I love the ... ...clear screen. Although the battery life can be a bit short, I usually don’t have any problems providing I remember to charge it up every other night!
I got my Ipaq from ebay fairly cheap, so I would recommend having a look on there for one if you interested. BUT if you want expansion packs for your ipaq, you’re usually better off buying an Ipaq with the expansion pack included in the sale rather than buying the Ipaq and Expansion pack separately, ...

Compaq Aero 2130
Review of Compaq Aero 2130 by
sebdacrab
Advantages: Colour, Good for the basics
Disadvantages: Bit Old, bit Bulky, Not Compatible with todays technology
...are no longer available from Compaq they can be picked up for very cheap on Ebay. This was a great PDA in its time, and could still be if you were able to upgrade the version of WinCE it runs. Itr still runs on WinCE 2.11 which has not been sold on any new PDAs for about 5 years. This doesn't sound like that critical an issue, since many PCs still run with Win 98. It is able to be docked with a PC, and can be useful as and address book and calender, ... ...or 16ish tracks.
The Compaq Aero was just one disappointment after another. After 8 hours of transferring MP3s, i was finally able to get my bus and listen to my music. When i got out my headphones and tryed to plug them into a headphone jack, which was the wrong size for standard headphones.
Since this discovery my Compaq aero 2130 has sat on its shelf . Everything the Compaq aero is able to do can be done by a mobile phone a lot quicker.
If ...

Small Yet Perfectly Formed
Review of Compaq iPAQ Pocket PC H3970 by
frankplummer
Advantages: Small, Light, Bright and Powerfull
Disadvantages: Not Enough Accessories
Compaq's iPAQ H3970 is by far one of the most commonly used PDAs on the market, and for a reason too.
The H3970 has all the gadgets. Bluetooth, an SD expansion slot, Infrared, a 64mb internal memory. It may not seem much, but the SD expansion slot can hold up to 4GB on a card! Bluetooth's range is around 5-10 meters, and can be used to sync your PDA with a computer, transfer data, or do any number of other things. The PDA features a normal headphone ... ...or audio cable.
One thing I did notice, is that the pre-loaded operating system, Windows Mobile 2002, isn't the best in the World. It is slow, and can have loads of errors at times. When upgraded to Windows Mobile 2003, the H3970 peforms extremely well, playing videos with no stutter, lag and yet it improves battery power as well.
The amount of accessories for the H3970 isn't terrific, I'll give you that. However, you can still buy a Compact Flash ...

Good all round PDA.
Review of Compaq iPAQ Pocket PC H3870 by
craftycartman
Advantages: Reasonably Light, Ergonomic, Easy to set up and use.
Disadvantages: Screen can be hard to see in direct sunlight and smallish memory to start with.
My main use for the PDA is as a portable PC, laptops aren't all that easy to carry around and just not as easy as putting a PDA in your pocket or clipping it onto your belt.
The iPaq is a good all round PDA, it has all the software you need and any extra software is easily found and simply installed. I know this is an older PDA now, but it has a good system, runs very fast and is very simple to set up and use.
The number of accessories that are ... ...good investment. You can easily make it into a Sat Nav system or get it hooked up to the net via a Wi-Fi pack. One of the best accessories though is the foldable plug in keyboard, which makes typing so much easier if you aren't a big fan of the touch pad system that all PDA's have.
The iPaq also seems to be pretty robust, the screen is yet to be scratched (after a good two months use) and I've dropped it on a few occassions (don't try this at home) ...
