Review of HP iPAQ 214 Enterprise Handheld by
Gothting
Advantages: Size, Functions, Comfort (both viewing and using)
Disadvantages: Its nothing New its just really good at what it is
Loving the 214, simple interface, elegant and its a really nice size, i dont need a phone or a camra i have one allready. I want a PDA with a large clear screen, wirless and bluetooth, and have expandable memory. Simple answer its ticks all the boxes.
Ok maby it would be nice to have a manual in the box with more indepth infomation. but thats no technically a fault with the Item.
I think my only main fault with the item is the lack of more programable ... ...make up for this)
software wise its nice to have a devise with PDF viewer installed allready and fully surpoted DVD and video converting software availble for a nice price (save trying for find 3rd party stuff)
The size of the devise is its main pluss viewing any form of media or text is at a comfortable size, typing is easy (no need to play find the correct pixel for the correct letter). and it fits nicly into hte palm, granted anyone with smallhands ...

HP iPAQ 114 - A fine 'basic' PDA
Review of HP iPAQ 114 Classic Handheld by
apestyler
Advantages: Value for money, fast processor, stylus
Disadvantages: Weight (too light!), lots of pressure needed to use touch screen
HP iPaq 114 Classic
Background
HP's iPAQ 114 Classic is amongst one of the newest models released by HP in its completely overhauled range. This new series of PDAs consists of; the 100 & 200 series which are basic PDAs running on Windows Mobile 6.0, the 300 series (which has built in GPS) and the 600 & 900 series which have built in cellular phones and GPS system.
I am reviewing a model which sits in the 100 series.
What's in the box
The list ... ...etc
Overview
The HP iPAQ 114 has had a bit of a face lift when comparing it with older revisions of the iPAQ family however it still manages to keep the well known shape and layout common to most iPAQs past and present. The brushed metal effect with chrome buttons is pleasing to the eye yet it doesn't look too cheap and tacky.
Notable specifications for the HP iPAQ 114 are as follows;
- Windows Mobile 6 Classic operating system
- Marvell 624Mhz ...

HTC TyTN II best phone in the world
Review of HTC TyTN II by
TimJ
Advantages: Does everything in an ideal form factor
Disadvantages: Battery won't last 2 days without a re-charge.
...around on a table. The HTC unit has a slightly rubberised back, which doesn't slide and is easier to hold.
Also, synchronisation with WM6 and ActiveSync 4.5 is awkward and takes a lot of coaxing.
Also, don't use the provided version of Sprite Backup, it'll duplicate files on your machine and if you have 6000-odd PIM items, you'll get a 30 Mb pim.vol file that when duplicated will grind the machine to a halt. Use version 6, available direct from ...

That little extra
Review of HTC TyTN by
falla
Advantages: Built in keyboard, intuitive quick-launch buttons, easy to navigate, WIFI, Bluetooth, 3G
Disadvantages: sometimes slows down, quite bulky
The HTC TyTn is the mobile solution for those who require a little bit more from their phone. TyTN comes equipped with windows mobile 5.0 including services like word, exel and even power point, but the service that perhaps comes as most convenient is the Outlook service that can easily be linked up to your email account to ensure that you will always be connected. You will never loose track of your appointments either because the planner is always ... ...in brief, and you can add many details and notes on the different appointments, all easily viewable through a couple of clicks on the screen. One of the best parts of the phone is its built in keyboard, with practically the same setup as a regular computer keyboard, with the exception of having to press a button before gaining access to certain symbols, all easily accessible. Writing down messages, appointments or notes has never been easier on a ...

Impressed, but alarm issue stopped perfection
Review of HP iPAQ Pocket PC Hx2490 by
btr_beri
Advantages: Sturdy, good software, smooth link with Pc, fast, all features needed for a pocket Pc
Disadvantages: Alarm problems
...decided to come across to Hp because of the ease with which word and excel documents will transfer onto it. The weight of it makes it feel like a quality product, and it was also good to have all the buttons where you can see them straight away without having to flip down the bottom like I did with the palm.
Because I use my Ipaq in a busy retail environment I immediately bought a metal case for it. I also added an SD card to add to the memory.
... ...again. I don't know why Hp didn't include a vibrate function like with my Palm and on any phone. This would have made reminders a lot more useful.
Overall I was and still am very impressed with the HX2490. I know most of the review has been a moan, but just look through the feature list to see what is included. All of the features work superbly, and do exactly what they say. Even in the bashing I give this device every day it has stood up very well, ...
