Review of HP iPAQ 214 Enterprise Handheld by Gothting

Advantages: Size, Functions, Comfort (both viewing and using)
Disadvantages: Its nothing New its just really good at what it is

Loving the 214, simple interface, elegant and its a really nice size, i dont need a phone or a camra i have one allready. I want a PDA with a large clear screen, wirless and bluetooth, and have expandable memory. Simple answer its ticks all the boxes. Ok maby it would be nice to have a manual in the box with more indepth infomation. but thats no technically a fault with the Item. I think my only main fault with the item is the lack of more programable ...
...make up for this) software wise its nice to have a devise with PDF viewer installed allready and fully surpoted DVD and video converting software availble for a nice price (save trying for find 3rd party stuff) The size of the devise is its main pluss viewing any form of media or text is at a comfortable size, typing is easy (no need to play find the correct pixel for the correct letter). and it fits nicly into hte palm, granted anyone with smallhands ... My new digital friend
Review of HP iPAQ 614c Business Navigator by ScottishWestie

Advantages: Features, well made, size & weight, value for money
Disadvantages: HP customer services, location of SD card

...years ago I purchased a HP ipaq 4150 pocket PC which served me very well in that space of time. The day I bought it I threw my pens & paper out the window & my life became better organised than ever. However, the software was no longer compatible with my home computer (Vista) & I was fed up of carrying around a mobile phone & a pocket PC all the time. I wanted something that integrated them both & recently started looking for a Smartphone. I have ...
...The specifications of their new HP ipaq614c Smartphone were just what I was looking for & I started to track down a reasonably priced one. P.A.Y.G. or contract? HP in the UK don't sell their products via the large phone companies, that appealed to me as I preferred to use my P.A.Y.G. SIM card from Virgin. I'm not a heavy mobile user but the main reason I wanted a Smartphone is for the PC as well as being able to use the phone when necessary. This ... Read review

HP iPAQ Pocket PC H2210
Review of HP iPAQ Pocket PC H2210 by Mavsten

Advantages: Small and Compact while runs smoothly
Disadvantages: Can be prone to crashing if using high spec software

I recently purchased this IPAQ, and after a couple of months of use have no doubts that I have made a good choice. Along with a decent sized SD card the IPAQ can act as any number of items that are individually available such as and mp3/ mp4 player, Sony PSP, a phone (I recommend Skype PDA), and even as a universal remote. As previously stated, this PDA can crash if too many programs run at once, which is not hard to do as a majority of the software ...
...sized SD card (512 MB +) is used for most of the added software and files, crashing can be avoided fairly easily. The IPAQ also includes a flash card slot which allows the user to insert a wireless internet card, the connection then available is usually quite fast as it doesn't connect to Desktop PC websites but a downsized version. The 3.5 inch touch screen has settings which are simple to manipulate such as brightness of the back light, sharpness ... Read review

Portable computing - iPAKing with a punch
Review of HP iPAQ Pocket PC Hx2490 by bigfatdogs

Advantages: Powerful, fast, sleek
Disadvantages: Getting programs into the system

...I have bought from the HP site. Another problem with it is that its really hungry on power. I find it runs down its charge quite quickly. Its important that you get a case for it to stop it scratching, and get extra pens for it, as they tend to go missing, or maybe its just me. I have it connected through my wifi and its superb little browser, both at home outside when I want to check email. Make sure if you use the client that you use an imap ...
...its good but it was HP for me due to the backup of HP and most importantly the WiFi capability and MS suite of software that came with it. You get Ms Word and Ms Excel, so you can read your docs on the run and also produce material which you can use on your desktop or note book later on. This is real power computing on the small manageable mobile platform. I bought it in my local PC World, in Sprucefield. They were inexperienced and not really able ... Read review

Mio A701 GPS PDA Phone
Review of Mio A701 by Myram

Advantages: Fast GPS system and compact sizse for a PDA
Disadvantages: Supplied flash ROm version is buggy. Update now available though

All in all a great phone. The build supplied on my phone prior to version R65 flash ROM from the internet support site was buggy. New version is much improved though and has yet to crash! It took long enough for the release to fix the initial teething problems! Significantly faster boot time with new upload. A great phone however, let down by its 1.3 MPixel camera which is poor and a lack of infra red. However it does fit in the pocket unlike most ...
...Battery life could be better (about 4-6 hours use), but probably one of the better all in one devices available to date. Also has facility to send an emergency SMS text to a group of mobiles with your GPS location!! Car kit comes as standard and is very secure. Connects via 12volt socket for power. I have mine connected to a Parrot handsfree kit, and have had no issues - automatically connects every time. I am running Tom Tom navigator software ...
