Good, realiable smart phone
Review of Palm Centro by
ellywells
Advantages: qwerty keyboard, touch screen, cool features
Disadvantages: sometimes turns off when put in a pocket, not the best reception
I love my palm centro, yet sometimes( because of the phone design) I will accidentaly turn the phone funtion off and miss an important call or message. The qwerty keyboard is very easy to use and is not hard on the tips of ones fingers like some other qwerty keyboards. I do not like that one cannot dial while being in other parts of the phone besides being in the "phone" program, yet i do like how once a number is put on speed dial the speed dial ...

The iPhone Killer?
Review of HTC Touch Diamond by
prosser13
Advantages: Looks great, amazing quality, brilliant screen, customizable, excellent features!
Disadvantages: Can't access the camera instantly, no way to expand 4GB of storage
...had my eye on the HTC Touch Diamond for quite a while, so when my contract on Orange ended a couple of weeks ago I decided it was time to take the plunge. On several other sites I've seen this phone touted as the iPhone killer - that's a pretty awesome reputation considering how big the iPhone has become, so I must admit to having some high expectations about this phone. Will it live up to them? We'll see...
HTC - The Company
HTC? Who? I'll ... ...trapezium shape, glossy black with HTC branded on the lid. Rather than being made of cardboard, it's made of a thick plastic. Inside the box you'll find:
* The phone itself, with the large screen covered in a plastic film to prevent scratches
* A pair of headphones which connect to the phone's mini USB port
* Two magnetic styli (one for backup, thoughtful!)
* A sticky plastic screen protector
* A CD containing Microsoft ActiveSync and a trial ...

Samsung Omnia - not for textaholics!
Review of Samsung SGH-i900 Omnia by
jc292
Advantages: Display, Accelerometer, Battery life, Call quality, Software
Disadvantages: No keyboard or stylus makes texting hard
Overall the Omnia is an excellent phone. I chose it over the Sony-Ericson Xperia, and the recent HTC phones. I have no regrets on the purchase but I'm going to outline what I think are the best and worst aspects of the phone.
First, display, video, call quality and reception are all fantastic. Battery life is decent. The phone is pretty fast too - no laggy menus, and the menus themselves are pretty well laid out. Camera is fantastic and has a bright ... ...the phone and the display rotates too for landscape video/photo viewing. All good!
The biggest problem with Omnia is the lack of stylus - or rather, it comes with a stylus on a little string, which basically means you leave it at home. This combined with the lack of keyboard makes texting tricky and I am often typing on it with the corner of my credit card (maybe I should sharpen a finger nail?)
Also problem number 2 - the built in GPS is great ...

The phone from The Dark Knight
Review of Nokia 5800 XpressMusic by
Erolkus
Advantages: great sensibility, wide variety of functions, good recording quality, superb sound
Disadvantages: the price
...of design. Many more brands, Nokia being one of them, produces phones more and more "sensible" to touch. The number of buttons is minimized as much as possible, and their place is replaced by bigger and bigger TFT touch screens. Nokia 5800 XpressMusic is another proof that men don't want just a phone but a technological jewel. The menus with very suggestive icons are also found in this phone. This version operates on Symbian, 9.4 version. The "others" ... ...if we wouldn't said about Nokia XpressMusic the following statements :
- 3G
- Wi-Fi
- Gps
- 3.15 mp camera, Carl Zeiss.
Where do we know this phone? The Dark Knight. Yes, this great phone appears when Lucius Fox (Morgan Freeman) pulls it out of his pocket. Until then there were just rumors that Nokia will release finally a phone with a touch screen of the third generation (after Nokia 7710 and Nokia 6708). The official release date of this phone, ...
