Urban Chic Mum
Review of Palm Treo 750v by glassmcgregor

Advantages: It has Windows Applications handy
Disadvantages: The camera quality does not match it's many great features

...could all actually fit the palm of my hand. I am a mother of two little ones and it's my perfect partner with my daily multi-tasking but best of all I get to steal moments very easily to work on my literary pieces on the word application minus a bulky laptop wherever I go even while pushing a buggy - how great is that?! The only down side is the camera, but it doesn't bother me much because I prefer a proper camera anyway. ... Read review

Great IPAQ!!! :-)
Review of Compaq iPAQ Pocket PC H3760 by Ian233mmx

Advantages: Easy to use, Looks nice, Expansion packs available, Can be used for GPS or MP3 player.
Disadvantages: Battery life can be quite low if the screen backlight is on, Expansion packs are expensive.

I am very pleased with my Ipaq. My IPAQ was running Windows Pocket PC (ce 3.0), which is fully of handy features, however recently I decided I wanted to try installing Linux on it and see how it goes. So with help from my mate I installed GPE Linux, and it is currently working fine. Linux comes with more features than Windows Pocket PC, and I would recommend installing Linux on your Ipaq only if you have experience with Linux. Overall I love the ...
...clear screen. Although the battery life can be a bit short, I usually don’t have any problems providing I remember to charge it up every other night! I got my Ipaq from ebay fairly cheap, so I would recommend having a look on there for one if you interested. BUT if you want expansion packs for your ipaq, you’re usually better off buying an Ipaq with the expansion pack included in the sale rather than buying the Ipaq and Expansion pack separately, ... ½ measures
Review of Toshiba Pocket PC E800 BT by gamtab

Advantages: 4inch vga screen 128mb memory
Disadvantages: slow with poor battery life

...improvement over my previous units; Toshiba seemed to have gone in for ½ measures. The E800 is fitted with a glorious 4inch vga screen and a decent amount of memory, but for a reason best know to Toshiba they outfitted the E800 with a 400mhz cpu particularly as a 624mhz chip was shipped with Dells X30. The decision to go with such a large vga screen and slow cpu results in the E800 being slow and frustrating to use. The large screen also contributes ...
...but when you see the resolution, brightness and vibrancy of the screen it almost make up for the negatives. The button arrangement around the D-pad looks nice but is not functional, often resulting in the wrong button being pressed. Though the inclusion of a lock switch above the jog wheel, on the left side, is a nice and welcome addition helping to prevent accidentally switching on the unit. ... Read review

An excellent gps navigator and great PDA
Review of HP iPAQ Rx5935 Travel Companion by 2jayd

Advantages: 2GB of memory, nifty functions
Disadvantages: Appears larger than it is, otherwise none.

When I first saw the HP iPAQ rx5935 Travel Companion, I thought it resembled a GPS navigation gadget rather than a Pocket PC. This was due to the landscape orientation of the front panel, which is quite unusual. Only on closer inspection did I realise that the iPAQ actually offers much, much more and that the shiny silver body creates a false impression about the device’s true nature. The unusual aesthetics make the device appear larger than it actually ...
...upside down. In summary, HP designers once again proved their competence. The HP iPAQ rx5935 is an excellent navigator and its other functions make it a capable PDA. 2 GB of integrated memory is a definite strongpoint. The overall performance is perfectly balanced, and details such as configuration applets, quality of assembly etc., are at a high level, as is the standard in iPAQs. ... Read review

Loaded with features but slow
Review of Mio A702 by Pavel_s

Advantages: All in one device with good choice of functions
Disadvantages: Slow performance in most funcfions

Lots of functions, but average performance due to slow processor. Disappointing camera performance, very long shutter lag and slow shutter time even in good lighting conditions. Pictures are usable but as expected nowhere close to 3 megapixel camera. Keypad is odd for regular phone user. Screen can be difficult to read outdoors during bright sunlight. USB connection is fast but requires Hot Sync 4.5. My model didn't come with the navigation software ... Read review
