Loox no further for a PDA Advantages: Small, lightweight, easy use Disadvantages: Slow GPS, No navigation software I had been looking for a small, powerful PDA for a while and managed to narrow my searches down to a short list of just two. I had a few specific requirements in mind such as a good, clear screen, GPS, a fast processor and sufficient memory. So in the end it was a toss up between the Acer N311 and the Pocket Loox N560… The two aforementioned PDAs were very similar in specification, but the N560 just shaded it on memory and power, which was what ... ...it has not disappointed. The screen is a bright and clear 3.5" touch sensitive screen (as you would expect with a PDA), and is very responsive and accurate when you are using the stylus. I would recommend getting some screen protectors as it can get dirty and greasy very easily (I would point at this point though, getting hold of these kinds of accessories has proven a little difficult as most major and well known suppliers don't seem to stock products ... This is my modern swiss army knife. Advantages: Low Price, Excellent Functionality, Expansion Slots Disadvantages: Getting a little old I have owned and used this daily for over two years without a single problem. If you want the specs look elsewhere if you want to know what it can do read on... I do like my gadgets but this has been truely useful and cost effective. I originally bought it to keep track of contacts and my diary. But I now know it can do so much more. I bought a keyboard so I can type notes on the train and it is a lot smaller than a laptop and the battery life ... ...for text notes. (No Laptop, Saved £1000) I bought an SD card for storage and can now play MP3's but it doesn't stop there. I got an Ap for my PC that allows DVD to be compressed and stored on 128MB or 256MB cards. I have just been to france and had a couple of my sons DVDs on cards so he could watch while abroad. (No portable DVD player, Saved £150) It has built-in Bluetooth as well so I bought a USB bluetooth dongle (100m version) and can now ... Sharp ZQ-290 II Advantages: Looks Just like a PDA, Touch screen Disadvantages: apears very old on top of that Sharp ZQ-290 II - PDA without the PDA.... orgoniser The Sharp ZQ-290 II looks in every way like a PDA it has all the buttons you'd expect, a flip cover over the screen. you can also synchronize it with outlook address book to keep all your contacts at hand. with its black and wight screen it shouts back into the past. it looks like a PDA but in every way apart from the touch screen its nothing more then just a modern organiser. great for keeping ... ...good as a mini computer replacement. for the price throw you can't complain.
