Well worth a second look Advantages: Great value for money Disadvantages: Not as higher spec as others ...Ebay I came across the Acer N35 advertised as a PDA / Satnav combined. The concept of a combined unit appealed somewhat as I could also use the device as a pocket diary. PRICE ******* The recommended price for these is around the £200 mark. However, Ebay usually being good for a bargain, I bought a factory reconditioned unit for under £80. Dell Axim X3 is best buy for the price. Advantages: Awsome power, Multimedia, Games, Appointment. Disadvantages: battery life The Dell Axim X3 is an awesome buy. It offers all of the features of the top of the line PDAs and more. It has one of the fastest processors of all PDAs out today. It offers Wifi for wireless internet access. Bluetooth can be used for Connection of wireless peripherals. It also has an expansion slot for memory. Usefull though big and heavy! PiN 570 Advantages: Very portable Disadvantages: Limited memory ...as I had Ipaq / Navman combo with excactly the same software for many years. I was suprised to find the glitches in my old system to be repeated in the Pin. I have since brought a SD wireless card that has transformed the usefulness of the device. I have also downloaded free programmes for Powerpoint and Adobe. You can also download skype and make calls around the world for free, providing you also add some additional memory. You will need at least ... ...an external antenna which has made a big difference to the SatNav performance in the car. I have also added a desk charger/ cradle and brought a retractable charger for the car. All this has allowed me to get all I want for a portable office in a very neat device. The extras are relatively cheap but make all the difference. The Viewsonic V35 Advantages: Cheap, powerful, can be upgraded to windows mobile 2003 Disadvantages: Low memory, not a large amount of accessories available I purchased my Viewsonic V35 pda because i was looking for a fairly powerful pda to run games, internet applications and act as a media player, also i didnt have a large budget so the v35 was perfect. In the box was the pda, the manual, a cradle to connect to your pc, and a usb cable to connect to your pc, also a small pouch to protect the pda from damage. When i saw there was no ac adapter i was fairly worried, but soon realised that the pda would ... ...tried to get help from viewsonic to fix this but they no longer manufacture them so they refused. I also found out while searching the internet for a solution that many other people have had this problem with the v35, so it is not just me. In conclusion i would advise against the Viewsonic V35, it may seem very good value for money, but you will be forced to pay for a new pda very soon when the screen corrupts. It is not worth it. ...
