Reliable and Powerfule Pocket PC from Toshiba
Advantages: Wireless Internet, Compact Design, Fast Processor Disadvantages: Can't Upgrade to the new Pocket PC Operating Systems
I've owned an e740 since 2003 and it still serves me well 2 years later. It has a great processor that will run many of the high quality games available on Pocket PC (ie, Tomb Raider or Age of Empires). By 2005 standards, it's a bit behind the times without Bluetooth, but that can be bought as an add-on. You can also buy an attachment which extends battery life and allows you to hook your Pocket PC up to a project for PowerPoint presentations (via ... ...buy memory cards (it supports both CompactFlash and Memory Sticks) you can listen to tons of music through Media Player (built in). But what you really would need this for is to keep your contacts and appointments straight, which the e740 does very well. You can easily sync it with Outlook so it will import any contacts from there. It will also sync the calendars so appointments are on both your PC and your PDA. You also have Word, Excel, and a calculator ...

E330 - the future of E310
Advantages: Fast, powerful, durable, 24/7 Disadvantages: Software instability, Expensive software, looks
Toshiba e310, is consequently E330 with few improvements like extra 32MB memory and a 300mhz CPU instead of 206Mhz on e310. overall looks and afeel is the same.
I have to say straight away, - This is a greatest PDA, or should I say Pocket Computer I’ve had so far. The Design, well, it Is quite stylish, by means of being very thin, light. But. The could be some alterations done to the design, so it would be easier to hold it, and more innovative ... ...you can get the e333 Toshiba for only £199.
Over all it’s a great gadget, or even a professional tool to have. There is a SD-slot and I have got additional memory, where I keep all the back up now, 64MB, for £30. I decided to get it after my e330 kept on crashing after I installed 3-rd party software on it, and I kept on loosing my files. Now I have a back up, and it takes seconds. E330 has a mic, headphones out jack, so you can listen to MP3’s ...

½ measures
Advantages: 4inch vga screen 128mb memory Disadvantages: slow with poor battery life
...improvement over my previous units; Toshiba seemed to have gone in for ½ measures. The E800 is fitted with a glorious 4inch vga screen and a decent amount of memory, but for a reason best know to Toshiba they outfitted the E800 with a 400mhz cpu particularly as a 624mhz chip was shipped with Dells X30.
The decision to go with such a large vga screen and slow cpu results in the E800 being slow and frustrating to use. The large screen also contributes ... ...but when you see the resolution, brightness and vibrancy of the screen it almost make up for the negatives.
The button arrangement around the D-pad looks nice but is not functional, often resulting in the wrong button being pressed. Though the inclusion of a lock switch above the jog wheel, on the left side, is a nice and welcome addition helping to prevent accidentally switching on the unit. ...

all-round PDA with a nice price tag
Advantages: Excellent features for price Disadvantages: Availability of accessories
...in the form of the Toshiba e400.
When I decided I wanted to buy a PDA (Personal Digital Assistant) I didn’t really have an idea in mind about what features I wanted from it. All I knew was that I wanted it to be able to do everything and cost nothing. That is, of course, unrealistic, but I think what I found was not far from it. The Toshiba e400 is a nicely priced feature-rich PDA. From a design point of view it stands well. It is slim dark and ... ...Unfortunately, like everything, the Toshiba e400 is not perfect. My biggest objection to it is the lack of accessories when compared to other PDA’s like HP and Palm. It also only takes SD (Secure Digital) cards whereas others take both SD and Compact Flash. Despite this however I have managed to find, buy and very happily use an aluminium case, two-in-one USB charger/data cable, a wireless SD card, a 256Mb SD memory card and a wireless (infrared) ...

TOP TOSH OR TATTY TOSHIBA
Advantages: excellent quality screen, long life battery, very stylish Disadvantages: volume is very which is not good for sat nav, does tend to freeze at times
I bought this Toshiba E330 a short while ago to use it as a Navigation System for the car. The system has excellent specifications with an internal memory of 32mb and an additional memory card which stores 128mb. Now, what you have to realise is that this is like your very own personal coputer. It comes complete with Microsoft Word, Excel, a full calender, appointments lists and so on. Not only does this have all of this you are also able to connect ... ...is everytime you attach the toshiba to your computer it remembers what is stored on it. Therefore, say yoy have a file on the palm top and you delete it by accident, attach the usb lead and there the document is back on the screen. To conclude this product I would say it is a stylish fashionable pda with hand recognition and an array of helpful programs. It is extremely good as a personal organiser etc, but not to good as a navigation system. This ...
