Reliable and Powerfule Pocket PC from Toshiba
Advantages: Wireless Internet, Compact Design, Fast Processor Disadvantages: Can't Upgrade to the new Pocket PC Operating Systems
I've owned an e740 since 2003 and it still serves me well 2 years later. It has a great processor that will run many of the high quality games available on Pocket PC (ie, Tomb Raider or Age of Empires). By 2005 standards, it's a bit behind the times without Bluetooth, but that can be bought as an add-on. You can also buy an attachment which extends battery life and allows you to hook your Pocket PC up to a project for PowerPoint presentations (via ... ...buy memory cards (it supports both CompactFlash and Memory Sticks) you can listen to tons of music through Media Player (built in). But what you really would need this for is to keep your contacts and appointments straight, which the e740 does very well. You can easily sync it with Outlook so it will import any contacts from there. It will also sync the calendars so appointments are on both your PC and your PDA. You also have Word, Excel, and a calculator ...

Lifedrive or a waste of life savings
Advantages: Good screen, MP3 player, lots of memory Disadvantages: connectivity to internet, no camera
...business trip I purchased a Palm Lifedrive at a cost of just under $400 (about £225).
For your money you get a soft leather case, Charger unit and the PC data cable, along with a software CD.
My main reason for the purchase was to buy a new gadget that combined MP3 playing with some other useful functions, like games email and internet.
GENERAL
The main reason for the Lifedrive choice was the 4GB internal hard drive memory. If you compress MP3's ... ...OS
The operating system is Palm 5.4. This didn't mean much to me on the whole. I found it quite easy to use but that often when you thought of something to look for it wasn't always in the most obvious place. The best example of this was when you were trying to remove an application. Most of the time I would give up and just leave it. There was no obvious link to remove programs. You have to view a separate menu from a location that doesn't tell ...

Nokia N800 - great for the internet junkie
Advantages: Great surfing experience, nice screen Disadvantages: Shame it does not make phone calls like a regular mobile phone
The Nokia N800 internet tablet landed on my desk today, and having previously tested the N770 I was a little excited to see what had changed and/or improved. More importantly, would I now find a use for the device, when last time around I was left mystified as to how useful it would be for my day-to-day use. Out of the box the design has improved a great deal. Gone are the slab-like looks of the previous incarnation and you can say hello to some ... ...finish to the front. The buttons are a bit odd, sort of set off-centre, and a little non-tactile, but you won't find this a problem, as they are not used too much. The touch screen is the same as before, a glossy finish, very high resolution (800x400) and everything is really colourful, bright and pin-sharp (more on this later). Around the back of the unit is a small flip out stand, which is great for when you are watching videos, and also useful ...

An excellent gps navigator and great PDA
Advantages: 2GB of memory, nifty functions Disadvantages: Appears larger than it is, otherwise none.
When I first saw the HP iPAQ rx5935 Travel Companion, I thought it resembled a GPS navigation gadget rather than a Pocket PC. This was due to the landscape orientation of the front panel, which is quite unusual. Only on closer inspection did I realise that the iPAQ actually offers much, much more and that the shiny silver body creates a false impression about the device’s true nature. The unusual aesthetics make the device appear larger than it actually ... ...upside down.
In summary, HP designers once again proved their competence. The HP iPAQ rx5935 is an excellent navigator and its other functions make it a capable PDA. 2 GB of integrated memory is a definite strongpoint. The overall performance is perfectly balanced, and details such as configuration applets, quality of assembly etc., are at a high level, as is the standard in iPAQs. ...

Fast, functional, and packed with features!
Advantages: Fast, huge storage capabilities, wireless internet, great software, easy to use.... Disadvantages: Mono audio
I have been using the Palm Tungsten C for 6 months with exceptional performance and quality. I will convey to you, in my opinion, what I believe are the most important features of the device.
-> Design
To look at the Tungsten C is very sleek. To accomodate the full qwerty keyboard the screen is not the full size of the device but roughly two thirds. The screen is cystal clear and provides exceptional colour even with high definition digital photos. ... ...aluminium hardcase to protect my Palm and this well worth the extra money. -> Hardware
The specification for the Tungsten C speaks for itself. The 400MHz processor is more than capable of handling anything I have asked the device to do. My old laptop has a processor of this speed!! From the 64MB ram stated, you get 51MB of storage space as standard for all your applications and files
With respect to the PC requirements almost any PC from the last ...
