Dell Axim X30 PDA
Review of Dell Axim X30 by
craggybuk
Advantages: Light, good battery life
Disadvantages: Not easy to use Pocket Word/Excel.
I was bought one of these by work and for the first couple of weeks i thought it was brilliant. however the novelty factor can soon wear off. It is virtually impossible to use pocket word or excel for anything meaningful as it will drive you insane attempting to use the onscreen keyboard. It is also worth bearing in mind that when entering passwords, if someone else is watching the screen, they will get it straight away due to the speed that you ... ...is surprisingly good and though a few people have commented that the text is too small, I dont share this view.
Where these things come into their own is for the diary and online functions. With full wifi and bluetooth support most websites will load up as they do on a standard pc. (some however do have problems). Add to this, the pocket version of MSN and the X30 caters for the businessman and teenager alike. The Axim can be hooked up to your PC ...

Is It A Phone Or a Computer
Review of T-Mobile Ameo by
san.g
Advantages: Full Of Good Features
Disadvantages: Screen Not Stable
I own this product and it is quite clever. it has the screen and the keyboard is separate it connects with a magnet which is quite clever but you have to be careful because the screen is a little bit on the heavy side. It has a 3 mega pixel camera on both faces of the screen, one on the front and the other on the back. The ameo comes with two carrying cases one for the ameo and its screen and the other one for the ameo, the screen and the wires like ... ...screen with it comes 2 stylus which you can use to navigate around and it also comes with a combo stylus which is quite clever because when you use the clicking thing when you do it a certain way it either comes up as a writing pen or a pen to use to navigate around. The programs in the phone are just about like a computer, it has microsoft word, and the other microsoft accessories and it also has the features of a phone. There is a 128MB of RAM ...

Sony Ericsson's Finest!
Review of Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 by
s32bauer
Advantages: Great looks, feels well made, great functions
Disadvantages: Could do with a better camera.
The Sony Ericsson X1 is the first in the new range of Xperia products by Sony Ericsson.
Although the product isn't released until 30th September 2008, I have had the pleasure to use one of the pre-production models for around two weeks. Whilst there are improvements on the launch model, I am confident that the pre-production model has given me an insight in to what to expect from this handset.
The X1 is the first, and possibly the last Sony Ericsson ... ...Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional. Sony Ericsson have not yet commented on whether the handset can be upgraded to Windows Mobile 7, however it doesn't seem they plan to release any further Windows based handsets.
I've noticed quite a few mobiles/PDAs where the keyboard slides out sideways, and in that aspect the X1 doens't seem too different. However, it employs an 'Arc Slider' design, meaning the sliding process is somewhat 'curved'. It ...

A fantastic PDA
Review of HP iPAQ Pocket PC Hx4700 by
Honest.John
Advantages: Brilliant screen, plenty of power, excellent value.
Disadvantages: It did physically break but was covered in the warranty.
...is readily available on the HP website and other places that sell them online. This is intended as a 'what's is it really like to live with' review.
I have had my 4700 for over 2 years now, which is longer than I have kept any similar device (I usually trade them in every year). The reason I have kept this one so long is that it still does everything I want it to do. I remember when I got it I was amazed at the clarity of the large 4In TFT screen ... ...I have owned. It has all the features I personally need (wifi - great for internet use, big clear screen, bluetooth for my keyboard & GPS and both an SD and Co | |
