This game could promise so much but delivered very little. The idea of this game where you could become a darting champion is a good one but the game lacks too much. The game focuses on the PDC the "glitz and glamour" side of darts, it has the top 16 players in the PDC with numerous formats you can play. The game modes are a plus point of this title with several to choose from witch includes a career mode, exhibition mode and party games.
The gameplay lets this game down so badly, throwing the dart is surely the central point of the game and it seems they've just forgotten about it. There are two ways to use the controllers to throw, either being easy. One with the wii remote, aiming with it and throwing it like a dart (keep hold of the remote though) and equally as hard you can use the remote and nun chuck aiming with the remote and flicking the nun chuck up.
They have got the graphics spot on with all the players looking near enough perfect, the stages you play look like the real thing. Its easy to setup and navigate the menus, they seem to have worked so hard on its look but not its gameplay. They even have 'The Geordie Lipped man himself Sid Waddell commentating along with Bruce Spendley, in all it feels like your actually there.
The game modes however I cant fault with the serious side of career mode plus the fun way to play with the party games. Ill start with the career mode, you can take the darts scene by storm by playing in seven real life tournaments with the real stage setups. This mode again offers a lot but then the gameplay hampers it, its hard to win in the tournaments. You are playing the pros and you struggle to get 3 darts in the board. The party games offer you a fun and relaxed way to play darts with games such as Killer, Cricket, Around the clock and Shanghai. You can enjoy these with your friends and family with up to four players.
If you have the patients of a saint and nothing you could brake in your front room then I would recommend this game simply because of its look and feel, otherwise you should think twice.
Advantages: fun for the family Disadvantages: quite hard to get used to the contols
i bought this game for my children today who are 12 and 14 years old.
the first game was obviously a bit tedious while they got used to the controls but within twenty minutes they were getting more accurate.
they now love the game and we enjoy playing it as a family in the evenings.
the graphics are pretty good for a wii game as most games for the wii tend to be very animated and childlike.
the music is also very good.
when playing a one player ...

Advantages: Graphics, characters, sound Disadvantages: Gameplay, Mastering the technique
Brought this game i love to have multiplayer games on the wii and have my mates round, but very dissapointed in this game, graphics are very good players look great, the walk out is good and then you go to throw your dart and thats were it lets you down, to start with the controls are very hard to master, does take a while to figure it out darts going everywhere, if at all, when you first play takes you ages just to get the dart to release from the ... ...long before it gets really boring, still hasnt got really much to offer at all, in single player mode or multi player,
in single mode when you play the computer if you dont score high enough you wont win they are hardly ever get below 140 and hardly ever miss a double.
gathering dust at the moment better to buy a real dartboard stick it in the garage would have more fun Summary: all in all poorgame played a few times will be trading it in soon ...
