THE HISTORY:
PJ, or "Pete & Johnny", claims it was the first company to launch smoothies in the UK, where it began selling its products in 12 small convenience stores in London in 1994. At the time, its drinks were made and frozen in California for export to the UK. Growing demand prompted the company to open its UK factory in Newark, Nottinghamshire, ... ...bottle is predominantly white; the PJ Smoothies logo is the main feature of the front of the bottle, closely followed by the multicoloured split wording of Straw / berries & Bananas. The word strawberries has been split into 2 lines and is denoted by various tones of pink, with is quite apt and pleasing to the eye. Advantages: Delicous, 100% fruit, no concentrate Disadvantages: A little pricey, but totally worth it
...Innocent smoothies are delicious. I havent tried one i don't like yet! There are flavours to suit every one, and various styles, some with yoghurt, some for detox, but the main ones are the fruit ones.
Here is everthing amazing about these drinks:
Firstly, there are no concentrates. They explain this on the big bottles, saying they don't use them because it looses nutrients, and they basically just dont taste as nice. Which is true. If you compare an innocent strawberry and bananasmoothie to a PJ one, the difference its vast, innocent being the better by far. This also means the texture is perfect, not too thick, not too thin, just right.
Secondly, 250 ml of innocent smoothie is equal to 2.5 portions of fruit! (this has been tested by scientists of some description, nutritionists i think) I find this amazing, and it really...
