DEF JAM ICON
Review of Def Jam Icon (PS3) by danielfudge

Advantages: GOOD SOUNDTRACK
Disadvantages: GAMEPLAY; VARIETY OF MOVES;

...are the stars of the Def Jam Record label then you move on to fight!! Graphics aren't that good but the music is great as it's all pretty new Hip Hop music which appeals to me but then there's the gameplay!! That's when it gets ugly!! There are very few moves to use when you are fighting which is very poor for a fighting game, it's very slow and you don't have a health bar, you have to guess your health by the background colouring which I found ... The Best In The Series Of Virtual Fighter In HD
Review of Virtua Fighter 5 (PS3) by Surj1

Advantages: PS3 HD, Amazing Graphics, Offensive Moves & 2 New Fighters
Disadvantages: No Online Play

Virtua Fighter 5 on the PS3 is the latest in the Virtua Fighter series. I've always been a fan of the Virtua fighter games. I played the first Virtua Fighter game on the PC when it was first released and loved the 3D fighting aspect of the game. Virtua Fighter 5 follows the same scenario with a much improved overall package. Before even playing the game I had a feeling this would be good as it's on the PS3. The game has 17 fighters which include ...
...Also a new addition to Virtua Fighter 5 is 'Offensive Moves', which allow you to approach opponents easily from the side. This is a very good addition to the game as it allows you to be more strategic while beating the hell out of your opponents. The controls are easy to grasp even if you have never played any of the Virtua Fighters before. Just three buttons you need to know about to start with, punch, kick and block. Then you can master more complex ... Read review

Merky Game
Review of Def Jam Icon (PS3) by XICripZ

Advantages: Great roster
Disadvantages: Poor longevity

...The unique feature of the Def Jam series is it's roster which features actual Hip Hop acts. Characters Something I really credit Def Jam for this year is getting a great roster of Hip Hop artists, in past editions they where heavily concerned with primarily using Def Jam recording artists to brawl with, but since they have expanded beyond this, it opens many more opportunities for the audience. I have to list all of them to display the broad ...
...Anderson, Melyssa Ford and the Def Jam founder himself, Russell Simmons. Apaart from these, there are also a selection of generic characters who you will bump into during the course of the fun story mode. Unfortunately all of them are new, so none of the decent characters of the past such as Teck, Pockets and Nyne haven't come back. As you can see they went all out and the only name I couldn't relate to was the Reggaeton artist, Tego, who I hadn't ... Read review

Is Virtual Fighter 5 for you!!
Review of Virtua Fighter 5 (PS3) by daomar

Advantages: Great graphics
Disadvantages: No online play

Virtua fighter is a legend in the era of video game fighting games, it is very well known and has a variety of characters. It far from your average fighting game and is worth buying. It a game that you can button bash and hope to unleash an amazing move or you could learn the combos and be a true gaming master. This is a game for all ages in my eyes and is great fun for the whole family. It can be played in single player which is fun or you could ...
...the down sides of this game is that you can't verse people online. The game is all about finding a character which best fits your personalitiy and using it to conquer all who step within your path its all about learning that specific character combos and fighting stlyes. The characters fighting style are real so they use moves which relate to their style which singles out the game compared to other games out there. The game is very easy to get use ... Read review

Strictly for hip hop lovers.
Review of Def Jam Icon (PS3) by apatra

Advantages: good graphics and hip hop music
Disadvantages: might not be played by every body and too niggaz life.

Well I wont say that this is a mistake bye but I bought this because of the delay of my favorite beat em up which is the tekken game mode. I think that the tekken dark resurrection made a lot of delays before hitting the market. Not only tekken other beat em ups have delayed a lot. I have gotten the game already so I have to stick to it in order to make out new things from the game. I have no other alternative and luckily, I am a hip-hop fan so ...
...quite some time because of the hip-hop music. Not that the fighting game technique is that fantastic but the hip-hop nature of the game. In some cases, I even allow my enemies to bit the hell out of my head just to listen to the hip music but the reason is this, you don't have t access to the music unless there is combat. I wont just advice any pal to go get this game. Well here in uk, hip hop is not that accepted so if you know that you are not ... Read review
