PSC QuickScan QS6500

Advantages: picture perfect, spot on printing
Disadvantages: uses too much ink

...I bought one of these printers for work. This involves me printing out a lot of information with pictures and photographs incorporated into them. I found that the psc 2355 is much quicker and more acurate than earlier models (I previously owned a psc 1010). The photographs that it produces are of very high quality also. My only problem with the printer is that if you print reasonable volumes like myself then the ink is used virtually as fast as you can replace it. The card reader is also invaluable due to the fact it means that you can print images and index prints from you camera's memory card without the need for your PC to be turned on. Advantages: Easy to read manual and Exceptional printer quality
Disadvantages: not portable

...I found that the HP PSC2355 was a very efficiant and worthwhile investment. It has a fast printing speed and a sleek design. The only reason i put non-portable as a disadvantage is because i could find no others. It produces a high picture quality and is very reliable. It took me a while to get the colour settings adjusted but that may just have been my lack of knowlage or arrogance not to read the manual all the way through. But once the colour settings were correct the picture quality astounded me. The built in scanner was also usefull, it is of high quality and can be used as a fax machine if your computer has a modem, which most likely it does if you are reading this on your computer. overall i would say that this is a worthwhile nd efficiant printer.... Advantages: Complete control of all functions via software or directly from the unit.
Disadvantages: Limited output paper stacking.

...HP PSC 1610 is a good all-rounder. Setting up is easy, though, typical of HP, not quick to load all the software. The monochrome print quality is excellent and reasonably fast, with colour quality being a little slower but still quite speedy, and of fair quality. Scanning of documents and pictures is straightforward with superb control provided by HP's software. The photocopy function is quick and gives good results either when controlled by the software or directly invoked on the unit itself with all capabilities available. Printing from any of the card formats is also simple, as is copying from a card to the PC. There is a choice of print cartridges which can be obtained quite cheaply so providing very economic printing.... Read review
