With my old dvd player recently throwing a school girl like tantrum and refusing to play any more, i was forced into buying a replacement machine.
Off to Asda i went and came across the Pacific 1002 DVD player. Costing me £35.
The first thing i noticed when purchasding the dvd player is that a Scart lead provided with the player - Bonus!!
The machine is set to Region 2 out of the box, however if you look on-line there are many sites which list codes allowing you to easily change the machine to multi region, allowing a greater selection of dvd

It has a option where you can save your 5 favourite websites to 5 differently numbered buttons, and then whenever you wanted quick access to the site, you just press one of the buttons, and the computer loads it up for you.

The latest version is Windows MediaPlayer version 7.1, this is for Windows 98, Windows 98 SE, Windows Me, and Windows 2000. There is a different version for Windows XP, but I will not be going into that. The only problem with downloading the Windows Mediaplayer is that it is about 10 MB in size, which takes a long time to download if you have a slow modem (in fact Microsoft estimate that at 28.8 kb it will take 49 minutes to download). I didn't have this problem, as I use Windows MediaPlayer at work it downloaded in about 2 minutes, tee hee!
