Hi everyone, I'm doing an intensive driving course at the mo and am finding it really difficult, 4 hours a day and it's very exhausting. I'm learning in an automatic but my road positioning leaves a lot to be desired!!

Intro
My Packard Bell EasyNote Computer is my salvation, it's the place where I check my e-mail, check my accounts, download my music and I also take it into work with me and of course where I go to Ciao and read all the fab reviews that everyone writes and where I get to write my reviews. I love it!!
How I came to buy this particular model.............
This is my first purchase of a laptop and as I don't profess to know a great deal about what to look for in a computer (even though I use one everyday in work) I was kind of at a loss of what to look for. I purchased mine at Currys as I found them a lot more helpful than at PC World believe it or not. The first thing that led me to this laptop was a rather a girly thing I'm afraid, the fact that it was all silver, nothing wrong with black laptops but I seem to have a thing about silver items hence my washing machine, fridge etc. are all silver in colour. Anyway the other thing that appealed to me was the price, it was £399 which had £50 discount on it. There was one that looked similar and had a bit more memory on it but to be honest the memory seems to be fine for me as it is. Once I knew a bit more about it I decided to give it a whirl. I had used Compaq computers before and they had never let me down.
Features
The main feature is Windows XP which I know most computers come with nowadays but I found this a bonus, the only disadvantage is you then have to buy the Microsoft CD which gives you Excel, Word etc. which can push the price up. It is only cheaper if you are a teacher. The other good feature is Power Cinema which makes it much easier to burn CDs etc. as it is really easy to use. Norton security also comes with the computer for 3 months. It also comes with Winodows Media Player which is fab, I use play this in the morning when I get ready for the work in the morning, I have hundreds of songs on there at the mo and I save them in different folders which captures my different moods :-) it also comes with a lead for when the battery runs down and a USB cable.
Advantages
Comes with Window XP, Norton Security,Windows media player, easy on the eye, reliable and quite quick and easy to use.
Disadvantages
Doesn't come with Microsoft Office but then not sure if any of the cheaper models do.
Summing up......
Considering I use it for almost everything I find it a fab laptop and it hasn't let me down yet. The packard bell help page is also helpful if you need support although I haven't needed this yet. The screen which is 15.4 inches is plenty big enough and the keyboard and mouse are comfortable to use. I sometimes take it into work as I have done work on it in the evenings and has proved itself very reliable!!
How helpful would this review be to a person making a buying decision? Rating guidelines
(+) cool and quite robust trackpad, good display,64-bit windows 7 (-) few connectors, dell drivers only, not realy for gameing (most models), finger print prone!
I had a bad experience with a Packard Bell tower system a few years back and that put me off looking at any further purchases from them whatsoever. I would automatically bypass them on the shelves of any store but maybe it is time to give them a second chance as this laptop sounds perfect for my current needs.
