I bought the packard bell easynote about fifteen months ago and i haven't had many problems at all. The first reason i bought it was that it had a lovely design and i wasn't overly fussed about it's running speed, although it is fine when i am only using a couple of programs at the same time. The second was that it was very well priced for it's quality and it had everything i needed asi already had a fully functional destop computer, this laptop was perfect for my needs. The laptops appearance - It had a silver covering with the packard bell logo centered on the top and another underneath the ... more

Now not knowing a lot about laptops, as I have never been fortunate enough to own one, I can go on nothing but the specification to judge whether it is good or not. I would have no idea of comparing the different makes available. The day came when my dad decided to buy himself a laptop and learn how to start a computer, type up his letters etc. I have tried teaching him how to use my pc but he had no real interest to learn. Then a friend of his mentioned that he had bought a laptop and it was much easier to learn on, so he decided he'd give it a try. Off we went on the search to find one, not ... more

Advantages Advantages Very quick processor, large memory, all mod cons

Disadvantages Disadvantages As with anything too technical they tend to have glitches

Technical Stuff -------------------- This laptop is probably one of the quickest on the market (although the market changes and improves daily) it has a Pentium M 2.0GHz processor. The memory is 1024Mb(thats 1 Gb)! Loads for most people. The Hard Drive is a massive 100 Gb. There is a DVDR9, so you can play and burn your own DVD's. It has an internal wireless/Modem which is 802.11b/g/ 56k respectively (hopefully this will mean more to you than to me!). Also a sound card and video card included. The video card is ATI Radeon 9600/9700 128Mb which I am also told is top notch graphics - can't say ... more

My Experiences… The first and last laptop that I used was the Packard Bell EasyNote E6. My memories of this product are pleasant ones, never did I have abnormal technical problems or faults and it ran as smooth as a skate on ice. I had it for a year and I re-installed Windows XP professional only once due to a self induced predicament. Disregarding the system that runs on the E6 the laptop itself is technically stable and robust, though structurally I have experienced minor, hair-line fracture along the right hand hinge of the lid. However I put this down to a rather rough-and-tumble lifestyle ... more

I was bought this laptop as a gift last year after my Sony Vaio gave up on itself. Although I loved my Sony and didnt think I would be able to find a laptop I would love just as much - this one has come very close. At £450 I would consider this laptop an absolute bargain, especially considering the specs - and its white :) I have a weakness for white laptops and I have no idea why. I just think they look alot nicer than any other colour they could possibly come in. Anyway, this review is very much sounding like a girl writing about how pretty her white laptop is so I will get to some of the ... more
