I bought the packard bell easynote about fifteen months ago and i haven't had many problems at all. The first reason i bought it was that it had a lovely design and i wasn't overly fussed about it's running speed, although it is fine when i am only using a couple of programs at the same time. The second was that it was very well priced for it's quality and it had everything i needed asi already had a fully functional destop computer, this laptop was perfect for my needs.
The laptops appearance - It had a silver covering with the packard bell logo centered on the top and another underneath the screen on the inside. The keyboard was black and rectangular and the mouse pad was an oval shape, with the two click buttons coming down around it getting wider at the bottom, it also had a mini scroll area at the side. When it is closed, it is very thin and compact, at about 3.5 cms thick.
Using the laptop - The laptop is very easy to use, you just turn it on and away you go, but it comes with instructions, just incase you do run into any problems. It runs Microsoft Windows Xp and it had lots of software already installed, such as, power cinema, Norton internet security, Aol and loads more. There are plenty of support pages on there and also have online help, so you're sorted pretty much no matter what the problem. The laptop runs well when you're using a couple of programs, but if you pull up a few too many the laptop takes a while to realise what it's suppose to be doing and then actually do it. After using the laptop for a while, it gets very warm, this is not a problem to be worried about (in this case).
Connectivity - I have found it to be very easy to connect to my home wireless connection and have only tried in a couple of other places, it usually connects, but it won't let me use the internet as the connection is either too low or secure, so it lets you connect when you are allowed on the network. It's also very simple to connect to the net using Lan, i just set up a home network and plugged in the Lan cable. Very simple.
Hard drive space - The hard drive on the laptop is only around 40gb, so it's fine, if you only want to save written documents or go online, it isn't good if you want to install lots of new software that takes up a lot of space, If you do need more space, you could always buy an external hard drive.
The screen - It shows everything in very good colour and is very clear, it is a 15'' widescreen and is great for watching movies on.
Battery life - The battery runs down very fast, when i use it, i can only get about an hour and a half, when i am hardly donig anything, if i am listening to music or something like that, i will be lucky to get an hour. So, if you're looking for a long lasting battery life, this one isn't for you.
Problems - Although the laptop has been satisfactory, sometimes out of the blue, the 'a' button gets stuck and i haven't found any way of controlling it, it usually stops after a while, so i don't think it's the button itself. :( But this problem can happen to any keyboard.
When i bought this laptop it cost me £400 and came with a years gaurantee for free.
...them and their specifications the Packard Bell Easy Note was definately the best choice. Even though it was not the most powerful in terms of speed it was the 'neatest' and best priced one! When you close it it is forms a slim sleek rectangle - unlike many of the others that were bubbly in shape and didn't close to produce a flush edge. It is a Pentium III 600 MHz or thereabouts with 64Mb RAM and lots of software already installed, and CDs also supplied. ... ...the money to go for a more expensive one i don't think i would - this is fast enough to cope with the majority of tasks and having owned it for a few weeks now, not one problem has been encountered. Now this is amazing! Packard Bell - well done! ...

Advantages: Very quick processor, large memory, all mod cons Disadvantages: As with anything too technical they tend to have glitches
...to me with 12 months Packard Bell warranty, so this is not like buying a laptop second hand. The price is very good though - I bought this model for £500 which is extremely cheap in the shops brand new they would be over £1000 (you can see the attraction!). Although it doesn't come with a manual hence the satisfactory for the Specific Criteria for the manual. Can't damn or praise something you don't have!
All this said and done when I first bought ... ...needs to be sent to Packard Bell for fixing, which really is a major hassle (that's why I haven't sent it yet). I must admit in that first month I had only used the drive once for transfer some pictures off a disc onto the computer but I hadn't really wanted to use it for anything else. That's not to say I won't in the future, in fact when I found out it was broken was when I wanted to burn a film onto a disc. The minor problems I mentioned are things ...

...that I used was the Packard Bell EasyNote E6. My memories of this product are pleasant ones, never did I have abnormal technical problems or faults and it ran as smooth as a skate on ice. I had it for a year and I re-installed Windows XP professional only once due to a self induced predicament. Disregarding the system that runs on the E6 the laptop itself is technically stable and robust, though structurally I have experienced minor, hair-line fracture ... ...what you get with the Packard Bell EasyNote E6 it has a very reasonable price tag. In most stores such as Curry's you are looking at a price tag not deviating from a £600 mean, thus making this laptop, in my opinion, a must for the modern college or university student. All stores offer insurance at around £36 for a year, I'd say that you're unlikely to have to call upon it, but it is always safe to have insurance. I'd also advice that you buy a carry ...

Advantages: Easy to Use, Good Value, compact and light Disadvantages: None at present
Light compact end easy to use - has built in user guide, so no hunting for the book when your stuck and don't know where to plug something in. Comes with 4 USB ports so you can plug in a camera, printer and floppy drive all at once if you want.
Comes WiFi enabled which means its much easier to connect than my PC was through the wireless router. Basically, turned it on and it found it and connected once I had put in the relevant code.
Have used the DVD player and the PowerCinema is fantastic - picture quality is really good and you can also take stills during the film to you can use them as screensavers/wallpaper if you want.
The only thing that took some getting use to was the mouse control touch pad but once you have mastered this (had to read the manual for a better understanding) it was great.
Is great value for money - not ...
I exchanged my Apple iBook G4 for a PackardBellEasyNote R0205 (second hand), the EasyNote is 512MB Ram, 50Gb HDD, 15" Screen, Gigabite Wireless Card, Windows XP Professional installed.
I am generally quite happy with the laptop and use it nearly all the time, I have quit using my desktop which is very powerful compared to the easynote.
But even with my constant use I have found a few problems.
- Cheaply created laptop
- Old Model for Today
- The laptop mouse always has occasional problems
I wanted a laptop for everyday use, so something quite powerful but with all the flaws it does the trick.
My advice is that don't buy this laptop if you are a heavy downloader or play games or anything major of the sort, because the laptop won't be able to handle it. If you want to download and are very keen to buy this laptop, i ...

Intro
My PackardBellEasyNote Computer is my salvation, it's the place where I check my e-mail, check my accounts, download my music and I also take it into work with me and of course where I go to Ciao and read all the fab reviews that everyone writes and where I get to write my reviews. I love it!!
First of all a bit about the computer........
It comes with 512 MB Ram and Windows XP Home Edition. The Display screen is 15.4 inches. The Storage Hard Drive / Capacity is 60 GB and the Display (Projector) / Max Resolution is 1280 x 800.
How I came to buy this particular model.............
This is my first purchase of a laptop and as I don't profess to know a great deal about what to look for in a computer (even though I use one everyday in work) I was kind of at a loss of what to look for. I purchased mine at Currys as I ...
