My opinion:
I’ve bought this laptop six months ago and I’ve used it practically every day during this period. It has never had any problem at all even after I dropped it on the floor (ouch)!!! This portable computer is very robust and durable; it has definitely been made to last for a very long time!!! I usually travel a lot and my ideal laptop must be well built and able to survive to hits and x-rays (I’ve probably put it through the airport x-ray machines about 30 times by now Lol). This is certainly the best laptop I’ve bought so far, It’s very light and it has got a very fast processor (2.6 GHz); There’s also plenty of space on the hard drive (40GB).
Pros:
1) The PROCESSOR is reliable and quite fast (AMD 2600+ plus 512MB RAM) 2) It’s really LIGHT and easy to carry 3) It’s very DURABLE and well built 4) The HARD DRIVE is quite SPACIOUS and allows you to save as many files as you like (I frequently use it to store all my digital photographs and I’ve still got plenty of space left!) 5) There is an INTEGRATED MODEM (to surf the net whenever you need to even abroad!) 6) There are 4 USB PORTS V 2.0 (they are the most recent Usb ports and they can transfer files more quickly than the standard Usb ones!) 7) The screen resolution is very good for a portable computer (1024x768) 8) The price is fair 1,099 (but if you shop around you might be able to find better deals)
Cons:
1) Unfortunately there is NOT an INTERNAL FLOPPY drive, but there is a quite fast internal DVD/DVD-RW to save your files. The only solution would be to buy an external floppy drive if needed or to buy a USB storage device (e.g. LEXAR MEDIA JUMPDRIVE); I’ve personally decided to buy one of these and it works quite well, It’s also very very small so quite easy to carry, much better than the old, dated floppy disks !! 2) The SCREEN can be a bit too bright at times, especially if you are trying to judge the quality of a digital photo you’ve just taken ( it’s not a huge problem though)
Overall Rating
My overall rating is excellent. This laptop combines style with extreme durability. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to buy a very good laptop without spending too much money!!
I hope my review has helped you with your choice!!!
