I bought this laptop 5 months ago to use for my NVQ and College work. A month after i bought it, it came down in price. Overall, this laptop is fantastic. The 40GB hard drive i found did become a bit small after starting to download some music and movies. The speed is pretty good, but i have noticed, as you would expect, the speed have taken quite a knock after the hard drive became a bit filled up.
I have a belkin wireless router that i use in my bungalow. I'm not sure if it is a problem with the laptop or the router, but i do tend to have some difficulties getting good connections all the time. I tend to use it in the room next to the one with the router in, and sitting about 3 metres away from the router with a concrete wall between them, i do sometimes lose the connection. Other times i can move away another 2 to 4 metres and still getting a connection, but then loses it alot.
This is my first laptop and i'm still getting used to what to expect from the battery. But when the screen is on its brightest and i dont play any music, the battery will only last me about 1h 50mins.
I also used it for chatrooms. Unfortunitely it is not quiet enough to use without a mic, but it is quiet enough if you want to make voice memos for own use.
The keys are pretty good to be honest. I have typed alot in this last 5 months. In chat rooms till3 in the morning, at least, and that will be about 5 nights a week. The letters do not fade at all, although you van see that the keys are ketting i bit shiny now, hehe. Touchpad, not bad either, but i tend to use an external mouse most of the time. Package included: laptop :-), charger, 1x battery, minimal software cd's, most of it already on the hard drive.
Overall, this is a top laptop, have hardly had any problems with it and i will deffo reccomend it to anybody looking for a bril piece of work. Well done Packard Bell!!
