(+) cool and quite robust trackpad, good display,64-bit windows 7 (-) few connectors, dell drivers only, not realy for gameing (most models), finger print prone!
Advantages: reliable, customer support is awesome Disadvantages: heats up really quickly as the cool air goes through bottom, cd writer stopped working
...this is very reliable and packard bell customer support is great. Their website gives you all drivers and patches just incase if you lose your cd.
In long term it only heats up alot as the intake of cool air is at the bottom which can be easily blocked when it is on your lap.
In all these years i havent faced a hardware fault or a visit to a pc doctor and the customer support is great so packard bell is on my Good list. ...drive and i did not require one as i mostly use USB flash memory. It comes with 4 USB ports and S-video out, i can hook it to another screen which is cool. The battery lasts approximately 2 hours of maximum use.

yes, i have been using this laptop since 3 years now when it first came out. It has been very reliable, i have not had any big issues with it.
It cost me £900, for 1.49Ghz processor, 224 Ram, 20GB disk, DVD/CDRW combo drive.
Operating system was not provided with the machine or any rebooting software and this was sorted initially after one phone call to PC World as it was their fault.
The CDRW has stopped working NOW and it only READS cds for some reason. It did work till 2 years and it probably does not work now because of me...i burn alot ;)

Overall, you can probably buy these now at cheap prices as new ones are in market but if you do get this one at a descent price you will not be dissapointed and it will last for few years.
