Say goodbye to your mousepad....forever!

Disadvantages: Product flies off the shelves....so you have to hurry.

Packard Bell Interchangeable Optical Mouse (model IO-3UP)
Owing to my experience with computers for the past fourteen years, I became pretty much accustomed to the traditional ‘ball-type’ mouse. I was familiar with all it’s drawbacks like having to always clean the roller guides, making sure that the mouse pad kept it’s shape (if it didn’t, I always replaced them) and ensuring that I always had enough patience for times when the mouse-response ...
...chose to buy was the Packard Bell Interchangeable Optical Mouse and I purchased it from Dixon’s.

What’s in the box?
To start with, the packaging is really eye-catching. It’s a colourful, neat little box that presents the mouse in such a way that it would appeal to even the most prudent of shoppers. In the box, you will find the mouse (of course), 3 mouse covers (apart from the one already on the mouse), a floppy disk, a user-manual ... more

All I Ever Wanted From A Mouse

Advantages: Cheap, changeable covers and easy to install
Disadvantages: My PC keeps forgetting it is installed for some reason

...of the leading manufacturers - Packard Bell. Moving on to what I don’t like about the mouse, well, there is only one thing. Every now and then, when I turn my PC on, I have to unplug my mouse from the USB connection and reconnect it as it hasn’t recognised it as being there. Upon further investigation, my mouse properties told me that no mouse driver was present. This is ridiculous, as I installed them from the disc provided. Remarkably though, ...
...the device again and the drivers have miraculously reappeared, despite me not reinstalling them from the disc. Of course, this could be a virus on my computer, but my anti-virus has not detected it. I am going to get a better one, so if I find this problem is due to a virus I will, of course, amend this. LET'S SUM IT UP THEN All in all, I am really made up with this mouse. Maybe not quite everything I ever wanted in a mouse, but not for off. Mind ...

Packard Bell interchangeable optical mouse

Advantages: Great device
Disadvantages: Bit noisy

...Back to the Packard Bell Mouse. I chose Packard Bell because I know the brand and because, knowing the brand, had laso chosen to buy a Packard Bell laptop. I decided that I wanted one of the new-fangled optical mouses. Or is that meeces? Dang, correct grammar is not alwayseasy when applying it to new fields! There was, at a reasonable price, a Packard Bell infrared optical mouse, complete with three interchangeable tops, to give it three incredibly ...
...not put the other tops somewhere for safe keeping ("safe keeping" = lost and gone forever, sadly, in my study) I would be able to report on this stylish feature. But on with the mouse. The mouse works by taking a constant infrared picture of whatever is directly beneath its undercarriage. This picture is then transmitted to the computer, but is turned, electronically, into signals that make the cursor on your computer screen move about as you move ...

My First Optical Mouse

Advantages: Confortable to use, easy to install ,four different covers to choose from
Disadvantages: Could have extra buttons

...year. I came across two packard bell optical mouses, one had interchangable covers and the other was just black. They were both priced at £7.99 which is a real bargain. In the end, I chose the mouse with the interchangable covers because it was slight larger which I think would feel more confortable to use. But, I guess that would depend on the individual as everyone has different sized hands. I also liked the idea of having four different covers ...
...I was waiting in the queue, a middle aged woman asked me "Do you know much about mice?". I said I didn't know a lot and then she asked me which one was better between the interchangable mouse or the black mouse. I explained my reasons for choosing the interchangable and she just went and got the same one. That's the first time I've affected someone's purchasing decision in real life that I hardly know. So I got back home and plugged the optical mouse ...
