Packard Bell iMax X9000

Advantages: Good software packages, good value for money.
Disadvantages: Some techincal problems.

...I bought a Packard Bell PC last june. I had been given good reccomendations for packard bell. When we got the PC home we had lots of problems. The CD-rewriter and the DVD drive!!! Along with some software problems!!! But when we finally got the problems fixed, the computer and software were excellent, it was great value for money. I would definatly reccomend Packard bell to anybody else. They make excellent computers which are worth every penny allong with thier excellent software packages!!! Also if you buy your Packard Bell PC from PC World you get free serveice checks!!!... Read review

Advantages: Easy enough to use
Disadvantages: Slow, not easily upgradable

...We bought this product after the previous computer we had got damaged, a few months ago, the Packard Bell started to go all strange and refused to work properly, we have since discovered that all the computers main systems are ingrated and will therefore cost a lot of money to replace, we think that Packard Bell PCs are overpriced and not easily upgradable, should anything go wrong, the extended warranties are very overpriced and at the end of the day if you take the 5 yr warranty, your PC will be 5 years old at the end of it and will be consigned to the scrapheap in the proverbial sky for computers.... Advantages: Easy to upgrade and use

...A lot of people seem to have a problem with the Packard Bell computers. I can't figure out why this is and what the problem is with Packard Bell is. I was a proud owner of a Packard Bell and I have to say that I just like this computer system. There is almost nothing that you can't do with it. The Packard Bell computers are able to be upgraded with ease with how they are designed. Unlike other computer systems that I have discovered. I'm always working with several differant types and brands of computers. This is a subject that I know a lot about considering all the schooling that I have in this field not to mention it is my favorite hobby. I have alread upgraded my computer system and I will probly upgrade it some more instead of buying a new computer system. People seem to like the Compaq system for some reason until they find out...
