...40Gb HDD came out. Packard Bell are still selling both these models, but PC World have moved onto the ipower with either an Intel Pentium 4 1.3Ghz GPU or 1.4GHz CPU. Back to the ixtreme, it is an excellent machine and came with loads of free software much of which is stored on a seperate area of the hard drive. You have the capability to copy the software to CD thereby freeing up space on the hard drive. Since getting the computer in December, ... Read review

Extreme I know what you mean
Review of Packard Bell iextreme 6060 by zorgasm

Advantages: Loads of software, good specifacation for the money, excellent after sales support
Disadvantages: out of date virtually as soon as you buy it

I bought a Packard Bell Iextreme in December of last year. The machine when I bought it was very well spec’d for the money (£1199). The spec is as follows: CPU Pentium III 1GHz Motherboard Saturn Memory 128 MB PC133 SDRAM Hard Drive 40 GB UDMA CD Drive Pioneer DVD-115 and 8x4x32 CDRW Floppy Drive 1.44MB 3.5" Drive – Monitor A725 Speakers Supplied with Monitor Video Card nVidia Geforce2 MX 32MB with TV out Sound Card Creative SoundBlaster ...
...choose the software that you want installed. You don’t even have to keep popping disks into the machine to install stuff! I would strongly recommend Packard Bells to other people as they do come with so much useful software and the level of support I have received is brilliant ... Read review

iXtreme Value
Review of Packard Bell iextreme 6060 by Dave_J_D

Advantages: Good looks & performance, TFT screen, Very quiet, reliability
Disadvantages: Relatively little memory as supplied, cheap mouse

...it's much smoother. So far it's been rock solid (Touches wood as writes that!) So from now on I'm sticking to 'band Name' PC's - Packard Bell most likely. A bit more expensive, but it pays in reliability, and a VERY helpful user forum at www.packardbell.co.uk ... Read review

Best pc on the market at the moment
Review of Packard Bell iextreme 6060 by chrisj23

Advantages: 800mhz Pentium III,30GB,DVD,CDRW,the list goes on
Disadvantages: Poor software package for the DVD rom

...the new i range from Packard Bell. The iextreme is without doubt one of the best PC packages on the market at the moment, although it is quite expensive, it is a product which would be more geared towards the advanced computer users rather than for a first computer. Boasting 30Gb hard drive, 800mhz Pentium III processor, DVD and CDRW drives, aswell as the Gforce graphics card it is a very powerful machine with no real limitations on its use, be it ...
...few draw backs with the system is with the software supplied for the DVDs, but it does have the advantage of TV-out so they can be played on a television rather than the monitor. Also the keyboard supplied looks very basic compared to the rest of the machine which is aesthetically pleasing with a simple yet appealing design. I have come across no problems at all with the system and have found no limitations in the purposes i bought it for which ... Read review
