Last year was a very bad year for me and computers, I went through three bad computers before ending up with the Packard Bell 9100 ixtreme.
This model has:The computer was bought from PC world, and as I said in my report about PC World. It wasn't long before the ixtreme 9200 with an Intel Pentium III 1GHz CPU and 40Gb HDD came out.
Packard Bell are still selling both these models, but PC World have moved onto the ipower with either an Intel Pentium 4 1.3Ghz GPU or 1.4GHz CPU.Back to the ixtreme, it is an excellent machine and came with loads of free software much of which is stored on a seperate area of the hard drive. You have the capability to copy the software to CD thereby freeing up space on the hard drive.
Since getting the computer in December, I have not had one problem with it, and if you get a software glich, then Windows ME is a God send, as you can restore yout PC to an earlier date when you know that everything was working ok. Also, you don't lose all the information you used to, with previous Windows operating system software. There is one downside to this PC and that is the software for watching DVD's, as the viewing area is to small. But, this can be over come by using the TV out facility and hooking the PC up to your TV.
This PC is value for money, but wait 4 to 6 weeks before buying from PC world and you will find that it will have dropped in price. And remember always haggle for a better deal.

Very Good review. I got an Iextreme 9200 just before Christmas, and i think it is brilliant. If you want DVDs full screen though press the F4 key followed by the F12. there sorted
