IT WAS PRICEY BUT QUALITY IS EXCELLENT AND 4 YEARS FROM THE ORIGINAL SEEMS LIKE A GOOD LENGTH OF TIME TO ME. WHEN I SAY PRICEY I AM BASING IT ON A FRIENDS COMPAQ LAPTOP WHOSE NEW BATTERY WAS ABOUT 30% CHEAPER THAN MY SONY. BUT HIS BATTERY ORIGINALLY ONLY LASTED 3 YEARS SO I SUPPOSE MY SONY BATTERY REPRESENTS BETTER VALUE THAN THE COMPAQ. ALSO MY VAIO LAPTOP IS BETTER THAN THE COMPAQ MY FRIEND HAS.
