Reason For Purchasing:
Well I was bought this Paco Rabanne Xs Elle Eau De Toilette Spray as a gift from my Mother, the Christmas before last. I had never tried or even thought of trying this fragrance out before as I have always associated Paco Rabanne fragrances with men really and did not even realise Paco Rabanne made women's fragrances until just over one year ago. Well I actually received this Eau De Toilette Spray in a beautiful gift set with a bottle of body lotion and some matching shower gel so it really was a nice gift to receive for Christmas as I love perfumes and their bottles (probably more) so even if the fragrance was not to my taste, at least I had a nice perfume bottle to add to my growing collection on my dressing table and Bathroom shelves.

Well I was not disappointed at all with this fragrance and I find the scent from this Eau De Toilette Spray really very unique indeed and very different from any other fragrance that I have in my growing collection. The perfume bottle I received with this gift set is 50ml in size and in my opinion, it is quite expensive even when I priced it for sale on the internet and not something I would be willing to pay for a perfume myself, but certainly it is nice to receive as a gift and I am pleased to have been bought it because it certainly is very pleasing in it's design and of course in it’s fragrance.

Gift Box:
I received this Paco Rabanne 50ml Xs Elle Eau De Toilette Spray in a beautiful metallic gold, shiny gift box. On the box itself are lovely printed silver letters of a capital X and S on alternatives sides, right around the box and they really stand out well against the gold background. It really is a very lovely looking set that certainly would be nice to give to any woman as a present. Of course this toilet spray can be bought on it’s own and comes in a lovely smaller gift box like the one I just described and it also looks very nice indeed. Of course the makers name of "Paco Rabanne", made in France and of

course the size of the perfume bottle are all nicely printed around the gift box also. Overall a great looking gift box for this Eau De Toilette Spay that certainly is well designed, looks wonderful and is a lovely gift box for all womens tastes in my opinion.

Design Of Perfume Bottle:
I like to include the design of a perfume bottles in my reviews as I am a collector of them so I think it is important to people who do collect them also and I actually know quite a few girls who do. Well the perfume bottle that this Paco Rabanne Elle Eau De Toilette Spray comes in is actually a very modern design. It is nothing to fancy of has any sculptured details on it like a lot of perfume bottles have, but still, in my opinion, it really is really rather nice. It is made from quite a thick clear glass that is oval in shape. The letters X and S are nicely frosted onto the front and back of the glass and to me this looks rather stylish. The bottom of the bottle has a beautiful stylish chrome base that is made of thick metal (not plastic) and has the words Paco Rabanne etched onto the front side and XS Pour Elle etched onto the back. The base continues in this beautiful metal chrome finish and stamped onto the bottom is the size, made in France and Eau De Toilette. This all look very expensive and of quality. The lid is designed in a matching shiny silver finish, but unfortunately is made of plastic. The spray is a lovely push down action one and can be quite hard to press in my opinion, but when it does work, it lets out a light spray of perfume that I like and which does not come out in a huge quantity and run down my wrist. Overall a very modern, of high quality and stylish, designed perfume bottle that I really am pleased with.

The Fragrance Of Paco Rabanne Xs Elle De Toilette Spray.
This Paco Rabanne Xs Elle De Toilette Spray is recommended for daytime use by the actual makers "Paco Rabanne" and other sellers of this product but in my opinion, it could actually be worn as an evening fragrance as it is quite strong and very long lasting. On first ever trying out this fragrance just over one year ago, I was not sure on my first impressions of it and the overall smell I got from this fragrance as it was quite strong on first applying it and it smelt quite spicy to me. I let it die down and left it on my wrist for five minutes and it really was a completely different fragrance to me after that. Well I think it really is a very fresh and kind of refreshing fragrance that (in my words) is quite spicy, fruity and not at all sweet or floral smelling. In fact this fragrance is so different to me than many I have in my collection, that I will just say "read the top notes in this" as it really is very hard to describe. I would say the spices stand out more on first applying it and when it dies down it is more a citrus smelling perfume and a very pleasing one to me.

Well it is a very unique fragrance in my opinion and it really is so very different than anything else I have used before. There is also not a floral, sweet or distinctively feminine fragrance to this Eau De Toilette Spray, but it certainly is a ladies one. I really love the freshness to this scent and also the kind of talc like smell to this overall. On first trying out this fragrance for yourself my advice is "let it settle for five minutes". After five minutes, it really is completely different than on first trying it out. Overall this really is a beautiful, fresh and very appealing fragrance that will get you compliments. I have got plenty of them on many occasions, have been asked what I am wearing by most friends and my husband likes it, so I guess that's what counts also with this fragrance.

Longevity And Strength Of This Scent:
Paco Rabanne Xs Elle Eau De Toilette Spray really does last very well on wearing it. It is recommended for daytime wear and certainly will last from you get up in the morning and put it on, until you are going to bed in the evening. Honestly. It certainly is one of the most long lasting fragrances I have ever come across. I hate fragrances that fade after an hour or so, but this perfume certainly will not and I promise you, 'it will last all day'. Well I think it makes a great evening fragrance also. It is not a clear feminine fragrance or flowery as such, but it sure will get you noticed in the evenings by most people. Overall a very long lasting scent that is strong on first applying it, but wait just five minutes for the perfect aroma from this fragrance in my opinion.

Value For Money:
I think this is rather an expensive perfume in my opinion, but then all Paco Rabanne things are I guess. Well I do not think I am in love with this fragrance that much to buy or spend this amount of money on it myself as there is many other fragrances I prefer over this one. It was nice to receive this as a gift and it is very unique and a lovely fragrance in in own right, but even after searching the internet for prices on this fragrance, I personally think it is too expensive. I guess if you really love this a lot and want to buy it for a gift, then you would pay the price for it of £42, or roundabouts for it, but I will not. I certainly would love to receive this as a gift though every Christmas.

My Overall Opinion:
I really was pleased to have received this fragrance as a gift last Christmas as I knew it was an expensive one and not something I would buy for myself. On first impressions of this gift set and the beautiful perfume bottle, I really was very pleased indeed. The perfume bottle is very modern and stylish and it really does look well sitting on my dressing table. The gift box this Eau De Toilette came in certainly does make a beautiful gift for any women and would be a great present to give and receive as I certainly was delighted with this fragrance in every way.

The fragrance of the Paco Rabanne Xs Elle Eau De Toilette Spray itself is very unique and refreshing indeed. It really is something very different to try and a scent like no other around in my opinion. Everyone has complimented highly on this fragrance whenever I have it on and that is a feel good factor to me knowing that if I don’t look great, at least I smell it. This fragrance as I said before, really is one that lasts and lasts. I can smell it from my wrist the very next morning after I have worn it the day before. It is the longest wearing perfume I have ever come across and there have been many I have bought over the years.

Would I recommend this? Well I certainly would highly recommend this fragrance as a gift. It is one of the nicest fragrance sets I ever have received, but I would have to say 'I would not buy this for myself', as it is way to expensive. It is certainly in my opinion a luxury gift that any women would be delighted to get as a present. I really do love it’s unique fragrance though, but I do have a few perfumes I really like better that are not just as expensive as this Paco Rabanne Xs Elle Eau De Toilette Spray. Overall a top quality perfume, fragrance and bottle that any women would be delighted with and I hope my Husband reads this as I am running out of it.

I would give this fragrance full marks out of ten, but it really is expensive so it gets 9/10 from me. It can be bought online at the moment for around £42 from Amazon, but shop around also as there is some good offers at the moment on fragrances.
