To begin with I thought they were a good company but they seem operate an obscure contract of automatic renewal every two years which ties you up for an additional two years with no refund and they have been awkward and uncooperative in a dispute. 1and1 automatically renew your domain without consent or approval from the customer. Do yourself a favour and steer well clear of this company. I bought a domain name for one year and one year only. A couple of months into 'year two' I received a letter saying I owed them money for year two's registration which they had continued without my say so. I spoke to their 'customer service' (customer? service?) who eventually cancelled the account HOWEVER ...

Great service and prices

Advantages: great prices, good supprt, no downtime and very reliable

After having spent months constantly battling with my previous hosting company I asked a friend if he could recommend a new company that I could host my website with and he suggested Compila. I am so glad that he put me onto them it was the best move I ever made. I'd always had trouble with the mySQL with my last host (who were an awful lot more expensive considering the lack of help I got from them) the servers were always dreadfully slow and they ...
...customer orders but since moving I've not had any problems with downtime and the service is alot faster and much much more reliable. I no longer have to fork out so much for good service and the guys in customer support are so friendly and know exactly what they are talking about I would now recommend compila first to anyone that may ask who they should host their sites with.
