The Omron Tens Machine is a little different, since they have recognised the fact that the traditional machine did not please everyone, and one of the problems they tacked was to make the pads re-useable.
WHAT IS A TENS MACHINE
A Tens machine is a machine that stimulates nerve fibres through the skin. The machine is easy to use and two electrodes are placed, in my case at the bottom of the spine, and kind of massage the ... ...The tens machine is like a remote control unit with wires attached to it, that have electrodes at the end of them (two wires). SETTINGS
There are variable settings for different effects, and the best way to use the machine is to set it to a pressure that you find works for you, although there are guidelines in the handbook that comes with the machine. I found the guidelines a little rough, and also that if I felt very little, then the product did ...

Omron Electronic Pulse Massager HV-F115
Advantages: Portable, Variable Pulse Programmes Disadvantages: Expenisive, Not suitable for all conditions
I bought my Omron Electronic Pulse Massager HV-F115 five years ago, in easier English - it's a TENS machine. I have an upper spine injury situated between my shoulder blades. I have two discs missing and 'spurs' have developed on my spine. Pain-wise - well yes it's very painful and I require daily pain killers. I can only describe the pain as having a permanent, throbbing stitch on my spine. Often this causes my right arm to weaken and puts pain ... ...the pain signals.
The Omron TENS machine has three different pulse variations which are Tap, Knead and Shoulder. These produce different pulse sensations - as the name suggests 'Tap' is a tapping short-sharp tapping sensation whereas 'Knead' feels as if someone is kneading your flesh in small, circular motions. 'Shoulder' is a mixture of Tap and Knead. Another excellent feature is the 'repeat' button, this repeats a section of the pulse program ...

Cheap And Effective Pain Relief But Use Sparingly
Advantages: Cheap and effective Disadvantages: Noit safe in large doses or for long periods of time
I usually have a supply of Paracetamol in the house. It is ideal for headache or reducing fever and simple to take. I am allergic to other painkillers life Nurofen (Ibuprofen) and aspirin, so paracetamol is about the only over the counter option for minor ailments. Tesco Paractamol is very cheap it comes in a blue and white box with 16 tablets encased in plastic. You pop out a couple of tablets when you need them. For this reason I always buy the ... ...which is the same as most of the other brands available. The main difference, apart from the price is that some of the others are bullet shaped and coated with a thin shiny layer so that they can be swallowed easily. The recommended dose is two tablets up to four times a day (every four hours) for an adult. Paracetamol can damage the liver is taken to excess. That’s why there are regulations in force that only allow two times 16 packs (a total of ...

A Solpadeine Addict's Tale and how I got cured
Advantages: Very effective pain relief Disadvantages: Highly addictive, use with caution
...the habit of taking 6-8 Solpadeine every day of my life, plus Syndol at night for sleep (which also contains codeine). For those unfamiliar with Solpadeine, they are an over the counter pain remedy whose active ingredients per tablet are: 500mg Paracetamol, Codeine Phosphate Hemihydrate 8mg and Caffeine 30mg. I should know, I took them for nearly 25 years, and couldn’t stop. Of course the headaches I kept getting were ‘rebound headaches’, but as ... ...‘normal person’. Indeed, on Solpadeine I was able to go on business trips abroad feeling ill because, in addition to masking pain, Solpadeine gives the body such a lift – but at a price. Of course I wanted to be free of this addiction as it was playing havoc with my stomach and liver, so I went to see several different GPs. I remember one just laughing at me as though all it took to be free was a little will-power. The most common reaction however ...

Cheap and does the trick.
Advantages: Cheap Disadvantages: Risk of stomach ulcers with long term use
The product is ibuprofen 200mg and you take two tablets to make the dose 400mg. If the pain is really severe you can take 3 tablets and make the dose 600mg.
