Now that is a bitmap so will take a few minutes to load on a 56k but I used that for image quality; however Paint Shop Pro offers every type of file imaginable; from .ART's to .BMP's to .JPEG's to .GIF's and the list goes on. Here we go again; my chance to throw in my two cents about this product; well as I own this software I see fit to give others a good explanation of it and just what it can do.
Now I have used this for about 4 months; I am not going to say that I am the best graphics designer because I am not and it will take time to adapt to and learn the features and how to use them. Let me emphasize that this is NOT a game and to create some really good stuff as is constantly produced will take time and effort. But id you are an aspiring creator I believe this to be easier to adapt to for a beginner than Adobe Photoshop. However, this is one mighty large program and on my old computer it took its sweet old time to load up and occasionally; well - didn’t. But it runs fine now on my 1.0 GHz computer; But i'm not here to brag about my computer, I’m here to tell you about the features of Jasc Paint Shop Pro. Image Mapper - This is nice and possibly what I use it for the most; I will create sidebars for websites with the relevant graphics on it then use this to separate it up into linkable sections, or Image Map it. Whenever you are on the internet and you see a graphic with two or more links in different places then this graphic has been Image Mapped and its a nice feature considering you give the details and Jasc PSP does the work! wonderful.
Red Eye Correction - I have corrected many a red eye with this wonderful tool, its easy to use and leaves a nice clean finish. I havent tried other eye correcters because this one works fine - as is intended.
Also there is options upon options of different tools to make a unique masterpiece of your own. You can blend, burn and motion blur just about anything to create a nice piece - although it is time consuming the end result is very rewarding - here is a link to something I created, I hope it isn’t considered advertising because it is only a link to an image which I created using Paint Shop Pro to give an example of its power.

& with countless tutorials on the Internet you should be on your way to a masterpiece in no time!
Also you can download " Plug Ins " they give you extra filters and make your graphics stand out more. Some filters are included but many more are available for download! So all in all a great package!
Advantages: Powerful, Cheap, Easy to use. Disadvantages: Nothing worth mentioning!
I've been using Paint Shop Pro in it's various versions since about 1995, Version 7 is without doubt the best version by far, and it's amazing to see this product come from a limited shareware program to one of the best graphics packages around. You can manipulate graphics for any purpose in PSP7, but two of the main uses of a graphics package nowadays are probably Photo enhancement, and Web design. I'm going to give you a quick run down of what ... ...it. It allows you to paint with a theme of pictures, "fruit" for example. Drag the mouse, and a little trail of random fruit appears, all in different directions and all antialiased to look smooth and funky. Think how useful this is for your photos! PSP can also add frames to your photos, bevel the edges, and add a host of excellent special effects. The special effects filters in PSP are extensive, customisable and well implemented. Advantages: Relatively cheap, easy-to-use, wide range of features. Disadvantages: Has some advanced limitations.

Advantages: great graphics, animations Disadvantages: takes a bit of getting used to
...edit all my pictures in Paint Shop Pro which allows me to change the lighting of a picture, the texture, contrast and so on. I have used other programs but this one to me is the best.
It is also a great program for working with and creating graphics and animations.
It is not a program you can just install and work right away. It does take some study and learning as to how every thing operates but great instructions come with it.
The program is ... ...work with graphics a lot it is well worth the cost. I do a lot of web pages and like doing my own graphics.
Graphics are great for lots of things such as making gifts of t-shirts with a design on you have created down to your own personal greeting cards that you print out and send through the postal service. I like to do this for Christmas especially and make a special card for each person on my list and write my own verses for these.

Advantages: animation shop, vector and selection tool, filters etc Disadvantages: compression need to be improved
...It has everything you could need to design for the web, its a quarter of the price of photoshop, there are loads of web sites and tutorals on the web to help you use Paint Shop Pro.(e.g. psptips.com)
