Advantages Great sounding compared to equivalent models by other manufacturers
Disadvantages A little bit more pricey compared to other beginner/intermediate splash cymbals

The PST5 line is a tad more expensive than other beginner/intermediate ranges from the other major cymbal brands e.g. Sabian - b8, Zildjian ZBT/ZHT. But you can see why! I used to own a universal set of Solar cymbals by Sabian and upgraded to these after going into a music store and the staff member recommending these (I was non the wiser back then) and he wasn't wrong to. I still use this splash to date along with my upgraded cymbals. The splash itself has a great sound. Short sustain, reasonably washy and cuts through just about anything!
