I have been watching the one day internationals currently being played between Pakistan, England, and Australia, and it’s been good viewing I’ve come to quick conclusion.
In one day matches Pakistan are better than England but Australia are better than both of them. The Pakistan teams have played well against England but against Australia they were thrashed.
They have a mixture of players, ranging from youth to experience, Yousuf Yohanna has been their best player in terms of batting. They too like the other teams have had to cope with injuries with Wasim Akram and Shoiab Akthar being ruled out.
What really impresses me about the team is that they can turn matches either by they’re bowling or batting.
Abdual Razzaq is a bowler who does a good job for them, as to the others, in tight situations they manage to get teams out. In the Test Series they had a remarkable last session to level the series against England.
I think the Pakistan side is a good team but they can be bowled out, especially if they lose a few quick wickets. But, what they do well is under-pressure they can still get out of a tight corner.
Waqar Younis has just been exceptional for them. Yesterday, his figures of 2-20 in 10 overs for me won the match for Pakistan. His spells were awesome, and his second wicket got the vital breakthrough just when England looked like they were going to win.
They have an excellent bowling attack, but for me their key player is Inzaman ul Haq, a true genius with the bat, but if he gets out early Pakistan normally struggle to get a descent score and then generally need rescuing by the tail enders.
